What You’ll Be Launching 

The Director of Product Management leads the strategy, development, and execution of the company’s core platform capabilities, ensuring the foundation of the product is scalable, reliable, and aligned to business and customer needs. This role oversees the Product Management team, drives core roadmap priorities, and partners closely with Research, Product Strategy & Innovation, Engineering, Design, and Leadership to deliver the platform capabilities that support current execution and future growth. 

In addition to product leadership, this role serves as the product program lead for the core platform - driving cross-functional planning, delivery coordination with development, prioritization, and execution discipline across teams. We are looking for a leader who can balance strategic product judgment with strong execution rigor and deep cross-functional partnership.

 Your Mission (Should you choose to accept it)  

Core Platform Strategy & Roadmap 

  • Lead product strategy and execution for the core platform, ensuring foundational capabilities support company goals, customer needs, and product growth. 
  • Define and maintain the core platform roadmap, balancing customer needs, technical priorities, scalability, reliability, and business value. 
  • Ensure the core platform is robust, scalable, and positioned to support both existing product needs and future innovation. 
     

Product Program Leadership & Execution 

  • Act as the product program lead for the core platform, coordinating cross-functional dependencies, delivery planning, execution rhythms, and alignment across teams. 
  • Drive cross-functional decision-making to prioritize platform enhancements, improve execution, and strengthen product quality. 
  • Establish a clear and repeatable approach for roadmap planning, product delivery, and ongoing platform evolution. 
     

Team Leadership & Product Operating Model 

  • Manage and develop the Product Management team, setting priorities, operating rhythms, and accountability across the core product organization. 
  • Coach product managers on roadmap ownership, customer discovery, requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and delivery discipline. 
  • Create clear mechanisms for prioritization, product reviews, roadmap communication, and platform performance readouts. 

Cross-functional Collaboration & Influence 

  • Partner closely with Research, Product Strategy & Innovation, Engineering, Design, and Leadership to align platform investment with broader product and company strategy. 
  • Translate technical tradeoffs and platform investments into clear customer, business, and operational outcomes. 
  • Provide monthly readouts of platform success, performance, delivery progress, and key roadmap risks. 
     

Pre-flight Checklist 

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, platform product management, product operations, technical program leadership, or related leadership roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading product teams and managing product managers in a technical product environment. 
  • Proven success defining and delivering platform roadmaps that balance customer value, technical scalability, reliability, and business priorities. 
  • Strong execution discipline, including experience coordinating cross-functional dependencies, development planning, delivery rhythms, and stakeholder alignment. 
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence engineering, design, research, leadership, and customer-facing teams. 
  • Has previously held a Senior Manager or Director-level role. 
     

 

 Bonus Cargo 

  • Experience with B2B SaaS, data platforms, AI-enabled products, geospatial products, defense technology, or mission-critical software. 
  • Experience serving as a product program lead or operating in a hybrid product management and program execution capacity. 
  • Familiarity with platform architecture concepts, APIs, data pipelines, analytics, infrastructure, or enterprise-grade product capabilities. 
  • Prior exposure to government, defense, intelligence, aerospace, or other highly regulated customer environments. 
     

 

Location:   Remote

Salary:  $210,000 - $240,000 (USD)
