Slingshot Biosciences is looking for a driven Business Systems Administrator to support the suite of software tools our business relies on. The person we want to work with is passionate about helping teams run more efficiently and get more done with the help of software. They are excited by problem solving, learning how new technology works, and creating systems the team can rely on. This role reports to the Associate Director, Business Systems in the Operations department.
This is a hybrid role, with the ability to travel to our Emeryville office at least 3x a week.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and operation for Slingshot Bioscience’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and integrated solutions
- Contribute to performing system upgrades, data backups, production deployments, and systems development efforts under the guidance of Business Systems team
- Interface directly with business stakeholders and system users to understand business needs and document requirements on new feature requests or system issues.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing system or integration issues, access, and ability to triage urgent requests with high business impact
- Collaborate with Operations teams and other departments to assess impact of any system change
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems and information.
- Knowledge of core software concepts like access control, testing environments, and APIs.
- Applying best practices in systems configuration, design, and solid understanding of SDLC
- Perform unit/ regression testing on any new functionality in a sandbox/test environment and communicate any release information to stakeholders before deployment
- Prior systems administration experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g. Fishbowl), MES vendors, CRM (e.g. Salesforce) and ERP solutions (i.e: Oracle, NetSuite, SAP)
Helpful but not required
- Experience in business system administration
- Experience crafting training materials and leading training sessions.
- Experience working on or directly with sales and marketing teams, including knowledge of relevant terminology.
- Experience in administering MES/ERP systems preferably within a a Biotech, Pharmaceutical or Lifesciences environment
- Prior systems administration experience with Atlassian products such as Confluence or JIRA
