About Slingshot Biosciences

Location:  EU. This position is remote.

Responsibilities

Technical Support for Sales:
  • Partner with Sales Representatives to provide technical expertise during customer engagements, including meetings, calls, and presentations.
  • Assist the Sales team in identifying customer needs and positioning Slingshot Biosciences’ products as the best solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and webinars to educate potential and existing customers on the applications and benefits of our products.
Customer Relationship Building:
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing ongoing technical support and ensuring they achieve success with our products.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them troubleshoot issues, optimize their workflows, and maximize the value of Slingshot Biosciences’ offerings.
  • Gather and relay customer feedback to the Sales, Marketing, Operational, and Product Development teams to inform product improvements and new offerings.
Training and Education:
  • Provide in-depth training to customers on the use and application of Slingshot Biosciences' products, ensuring they are equipped to succeed.
  • Develop and deliver educational content, such as technical guides, case studies, and best practices, to support the Sales team and customers.
Technical Expertise and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Slingshot Bioscience’s technology and capabilities as well as generally in synthetic biology, cell biology, and related fields to ensure you can provide cutting-edge insights to customers, R&D, and the Sales team.
  • Share technical knowledge with the Sales team through regular training sessions, helping them to become more effective in their roles.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and Product Development teams to ensure alignment on product capabilities and customer needs.
Market Insight and Competitive Analysis:
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide insights that can help shape sales strategies and product development.
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop technical content that highlights the unique advantages of Slingshot Biosciences’ products in the market.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and customer site visits to represent Slingshot Biosciences and build relationships within the scientific community.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a field application scientist role or related technical support position, preferably within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Required: Bachelors in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering) or equivalent experience. Master’s or Ph.D. is desirable in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of synthetic biology, flow cytometry, cell biology, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • At least 50%-60% travel. May be more as the job requires, to meet with customers and support the Sales team.
  • Highly proficient in German language (reading & writing). 
  • Highly preferred if located in Germany or Switzerland. 
Salary and Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is between $102,000 - $112,000 + equity + benefits.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications.
