Vice President, Brand Communications: Fashion & Beauty
Small Girls PR is looking for a Vice President to manage overarching strategy and client relationships, concept novel initiatives that drive press headlines, manage deliverables for integrated campaigns, as well as oversee a team of talented junior staffers. This role will work with a wide range of creative and innovative brands mainly within the fashion, beauty, and consumer lifestyle spaces.
There is no one-size-fits-all for an SGPR client which means your career will be further enriched with meaningful and diversified experience. We've handled mergers for GE, announced Esusu as one of the first Black-owned tech unicorns, launched paranormal investigations with Ring doorbells, created a closet calculator to see how recycled clothing impacts the environment with thredUP, and hired the Green M&M as Zappos’ newest “shoefluencer” when the spokescandy was put on hiatus due to her boots controversy. This team specifically ideated a limited-time, age-based discount to incentivize Laura Geller’s core demographic — older women — to shop the brand’s site on a newly created holiday, National Mature Women’s Day.
Note: This role is based in our NY office, working two days a week in the office on a hybrid schedule.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Drive long-term strategy and create tentpole campaigns for a range of clients in the consumer space.
- Build strong rapport with client and interagency partners, operating as a lead contact
- You’ll be a key part of new business, both in voicing the brands you are passionate about taking on, as well as developing the proposals and concepts that win the hearts and minds of new partners
- You will have a finger on the pulse of the industry, ensuring we are creatively one-upping the competition with original campaign ideas, ownable moment ideation, and strategic insights
- Originate out-of-the-box ideas that strengthen client’s marketplace positioning
- Furnish insights that capture both quantitative and qualitative results, acknowledging major wins, lessons learned, and moments of impact delivered by the team
- Manage and mentor our strong and capable junior team, helping them flourish into future leaders
- Proactively identify and integrate emerging media channels, AI advancements, and industry trends

You’ve led PR strategies that moved the needle — driving headline-worthy coverage while advancing the brand’s mission and vision - You’ve guided teams to success, consistently exceeding client KPIs and goals
- You have collaborated with and strategically advised clients on affiliate marketing programs and campaigns.
- You have familiarity with influencer marketing and experiential strategies, and experience managing or collaborating with these teams.

At Small Girls PR, fairness and equity are incredibly important factors throughout our hiring process. As a result, we have a set salary threshold for each role to ensure our teams are compensated equitably. For this role, employees are eligible for a variable bonus in addition to the salary threshold, therefore the pay range for this role is $146,500 - $163,000.
Our senior level roles are accompanied by a compelling total compensation package. The variable bonus is inclusive of several performance targets which are outlined in an offer letter.
