About The Role:
As we prepare for another transformative year of growth and innovation, we are looking for a strategic, business-savvy People Business Partner who will help scale our people practices while keeping employee experience at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you will partner closely with leaders to shape and execute people strategies that drive performance, enable leadership excellence, and enhance the employee journey across the organization.

As a key member of our evolving People function, you’ll be a trusted coach, a data-informed strategist, and a champion of employee engagement and business success.
What You’ll Do:
- Strategic Business Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business goals. Use data and insights to anticipate needs, drive decisions, and support change across teams.
- Employee Experience & Engagement: Lead initiatives that foster connection, inclusion, and engagement. Own feedback loops and action planning to enhance employee sentiment and culture.
- Leadership & Talent Development: Coach managers and partner on learning, development, and performance strategies that build capability and support career growth.
- Performance & Organizational Effectiveness: Design and support performance practices that promote accountability, clarity, and development. Partner on org design and team effectiveness solutions.
- Employee Relations & Change Support: Provide guidance through moments of change and challenge, ensuring a culture of trust, transparency, and psychological safety.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of HR/People Business Partner experience, ideally in fast-paced or high-growth settings
- A builder mindset—you’re energized by ambiguity and excited to roll up your sleeves
- Important
- Demonstrates a hands-on, team first mindset by taking initiative and proactively identifying solutions
- Experience across leadership development, employee engagement, performance, and organizational change
- Strong business acumen and data-savvy decision making
- A consultative, empathetic approach with excellent communication skills

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, Rhode Island, Washington, and New York City residents* $120,000-165,000 base salary + RSUs + benefits.
Salary at SmartAsset is determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the contiguous United States.
