About the Job:

We're seeking a Sales Manager to lead day-to-day sales activities and inspire our sales team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in coaching our sales representatives, leveraging data to inform strategy, and ensuring our team consistently meets and exceeds its targets.

This is not your average sales management role. You’ll be leading a team responsible for making 250+ outbound calls per rep each day. That means your team is operating in a high-output, high-resilience environment where discipline, persistence, and precision matter more than ever. As the Sales Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind their performance—coaching in real time, analyzing call patterns and conversions, and pushing for excellence even when most calls go unanswered. Your leadership will keep the team motivated through rejection, focused on impact over activity, and continuously improving through data and coaching. If you understand what it takes to win in a volume-based call center and thrive on developing talent in a demanding, results-driven environment, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach and Develop Talent: You'll regularly listen to sales calls, providing constructive feedback and identifying key coaching opportunities for individual sales representatives. Your exceptional sales acumen will serve as a model for the team, and you'll be adept at translating your expertise into actionable insights for others.
  • Drive Performance Through Data: You'll be a data-driven leader, using sales metrics and analytics to understand performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize our sales strategies and training initiatives.
  • Create and Deliver Impactful Training: You'll design and develop comprehensive sales training materials, delivering engaging and effective presentations that equip our team with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. This includes onboarding new hires and ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a Culture of Excellence: Your strong sense of urgency and unwavering reliability will set the tone for the team, motivating them to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: You'll contribute to the development of overall sales strategy, aligning team goals with company objectives.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: You'll be involved in the recruitment and onboarding process for new sales representatives, participating in interviews and helping to identify top talent.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with broader company initiatives.

Skills/Experience you have:

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor sales teams, with a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use call recordings to identify trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all sales operations and documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and contribute to long-term sales growth.
  • A high degree of urgency and reliability, consistently delivering on commitments and driving timely execution.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build rapport.

Skills/Experience preferred:

  • 1+ years of experience as an Inside Sales Manager within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRMs (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and LLM tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and company holidays (our sales team operates 7 days/week)

Available Benefits and Perks:

  • All roles at SmartAsset are currently and will remain remote - flexibility to work from anywhere in the Contiguous US.
  • Medical, Dental, Vision - multiple packages available based on your individualized needs
  • Life/AD&D Insurance - basic coverage at 100% company paid, additional supplemental available

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
