About the team:
At SmartAsset, you’ll join the Data Platform team responsible for building and maintaining the company’s data and Salesforce infrastructure. You’ll collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and AI/ML engineers to support business-critical systems. Salesforce is a key driver of business growth, and your work will directly contribute to that success. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with leaders across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Engineering, as well as with our growing Data team.
About the Job:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions
- Build and maintain integrations using Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP) and external systems
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and support
- Maintain clear documentation of technical designs, configurations, and custom development
- Ensure high-quality code with appropriate test coverage and adherence to Salesforce best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications and deployments
Skills/Experience you have:
- 2–4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience using Apex and LWC
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model and object relationships
- Proficiency in Salesforce Flows and custom metadata/configuration
- Experience working with REST APIs and basic integrations
Skills/Experience preferred:
- Experience using Salesforce SFDX and version control tools
- Experience with CTI integrations (e.g., AWS Connect, inGenius) or AppExchange apps
- Web development skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, including pull requests and code reviews
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of Salesforce security model and sharing rules
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)
