Corporate Marketing

The Corporate Marketing team is a multidisciplinary group of designers, copywriters, storytellers, and brand champions responsible for bringing the SmartBear brand to life at scale. We define and evolve our voice and visual identity, shape our corporate narrative, and place customers and employees at the center of everything we create. Acting as both an in-house agency and brand stewards, we deliver innovative, high-impact creative across digital, motion, and print to drive meaningful business outcomes.

As a Senior Creative Designer, you are a strategic and hands-on creative leader who elevates how our brand shows up across every touchpoint. You combine strong conceptual thinking with exceptional execution, translating business objectives into compelling visual systems and storytelling. From early ideation through final delivery, you ensure every creative solution is intentional, cohesive, and aligned with brand and growth goals.

You will partner closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional stakeholders to lead and execute a wide range of initiatives—from integrated campaigns and flagship events to digital experiences and product storytelling. You’ll play a key role in mentoring others and continuously raise the bar for design excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading the concepting, design, and execution of high-impact creative across campaigns, events, digital experiences, social media, and brand initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Own select projects end-to-end, from project management to ideation and creative direction through execution and delivery - driving timelines, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring exceptional quality across all outputs.
  • Develop and evolve scalable visual systems and design frameworks that strengthen brand consistency while enabling flexibility across channels and product lines.
  • Translate complex product narratives and technical concepts into clear, engaging, and visually compelling storytelling tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, web, and content teams to help shape creative strategies and deliver cohesive, integrated experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with the web team to influence and elevate the visual experience across SmartBear’s corporate and product websites, ensuring best-in-class UX and brand expression.
  • Act as a brand steward and advocate, ensuring all creative work not only adheres to but evolves SmartBear’s visual identity and standards.
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, balancing speed, quality, and strategic alignment in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design or creative roles, with a strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and execution across multiple channels.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma; motion or video experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of brand systems, visual storytelling, and integrated campaign development.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, influence creative direction, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative rationale and align teams around a vision.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working within multi-product or B2B technology environments is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent professional experience.

For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self-identification survey. Completion of the form is entirely voluntary. Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be maintained in a confidential file.

As set forth in SmartBear’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any group status under any applicable law.

Veteran Status:

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability:

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. To measure this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one.

Completing this form is voluntary. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
