Position Overview:

The Junior Closing Specialist reports directly to the Closing Department Manager. The primary duties are performing key searches in the approval process that inform decision-making, minimizing risks and ensuring the loan approval aligns with regulatory and internal standards. Searches include but are not limited to ETRAN through the SBA SBA Capital Access Financial System (CAFS), collateral searches (real estate & vehicle title searches, valuations) and lien filings, background checks and public record searches (OFAC, SAM, CAIVRS, CLEAR) and site inspection. They are also responsible for supporting other administrative tasks that support loan closing activities pre and post funding.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, and is able to work in a high volume role, in addition to the flexibility of working in multiple softwares. As part of the Closing Team, you will deliver strong results against success KPIs.

How You Will Make An Impact:

Perform key loan support actions at scale and speed while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Continually identify ways to improve efficiency

Deliverables You Will Be Measured On:

Effectively and quickly with accuracy, respond to internal requests for various searches and upload the search results for review and file retention
Order and collect documentation such as, but not limited to, site inspections, title searches, UCC searches, ETRAN scoring and ETRAN compliance checks.
Submits application to CAFS for ETRAN Scoring and ETRAN Compliance checks
The Jr Closer is responsible for making sure that all items from the pre-closer checklist are uploaded to the bank’s internal system

What We Are Looking For:

2+ years work experience
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with Macs, and familiar with Salesforce
Proficient with SBA specific software and websites preferred
Results-oriented and comfortable tracking and being measured against KPIs
Passion for small business lending
