Overview
The Marketing Team at SmartBiz is responsible for promoting the SmartBiz brand, driving high-quality leads, and engaging existing customers with new product offerings. We are seeking a Sr. Growth Marketing Manager to help accelerate our growth through integrated marketing campaigns, demand generation, and product marketing strategies.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, data-driven marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to experiment, iterate, and optimize marketing strategies. You will report to the Head of Marketing and collaborate closely with a small but mighty marketing team, including a Channel Marketing Manager and a Marketing Operations Associate Manager, as well as external agencies and contractors.
How You Will Make an Impact:
In a nutshell, you will Lead and execute growth marketing strategies across paid and organic channels, focusing on new financial product launches and driving loan applications to increase conversion rates.
- Own demand generation, developing and optimizing integrated, omni-channel campaigns that align with the customer journey.
- Develop and manage a data-driven marketing budget across paid search, paid social, display, and other acquisition channels—nationally and in Chicago, our key local market.
- Test, analyze, and refine marketing efforts through A/B testing, performance tracking, and iterative experimentation to maximize ROI.
- Work cross-functionally with product, partnerships, lending operations, and external agencies to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide thought leadership and regular performance updates to SmartBiz leadership, translating data into actionable insights.
- Stay ahead of marketing trends and technology to drive innovation in acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.
What We Are Looking For:
- 7+ years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or performance marketing (preferably in fintech, lending, or SMB-focused industries).
- Proven track record of scaling paid and organic growth channels while managing acquisition costs.
- Analytical mindset with expertise in CAC, LTV, ROI, and ROAS—able to turn data into strategy.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, marketing automation, and CRM tools. (We use HubSpot)
- Bonus points for familiarity with multi-touch attribution (MTA), or marketing mix modeling (MMM).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
- A growth mindset with a passion for testing, learning, and scaling successful marketing initiatives.
