Senior Data Engineer
Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to advance our clinical AI by building scalable data pipelines and related infrastructure for data ingestion, processing, and analysis. You will integrate, standardize, and orchestrate diverse healthcare data (clinical, coding, billing, claims, etc). You will design resilient, fault-tolerant data pipeline frameworks and data models while leveraging AWS (S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Batch), dbt and Snowflake.
You'll join a highly motivated, dynamic, cross-functional team at the intersection of our product and data science. You will closely collaborate with our client side data integrations team as well as our software engineers who work on the backend data platform. Your responsibilities include creating and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing and standardizing existing data pipeline infrastructure and data models. You will support expansion to new products and data sources. This role covers the full data lifecycle, shaping the foundation of how we process and understand data for our next-generation clinical AI solutions.

What You’ll Do
- Design and execute initiatives that improve data pipeline processing, standardization, automation and resilience.
- Design, optimize, and maintain dbt data models that support our healthcare analytics products.
- Integrate and transform customer data to conform to our data specifications and pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with our data integrations team’s solutions engineers to evolve and enhance our client data specifications.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team’s software engineers to integrate our data pipelines with backend data platform
What You Bring
- 5+ years of data engineering development experience with a focus on cloud-based data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Expertise with data modeling in SQL/Jinja, using tools such as dbt, Informatica, Apache Spark
- Expertise in relational and columnar databases
- Expertise in cloud data warehouses and data lakehouses
- Experience implementing GitHub CI/CD.
- Experience with python related data libraries (Pydantic, Polars, etc)
- Experience implementing scalable, event-driven architectures using AWS managed services.
- Experience with data orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, etc).
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice To Haves
- Experience at a scale-up, or rapid growth, technology company
- Experience working in the healthcare industry involving clinical and/or billing/claims data
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with ingesting data via HL7 and/or FHIR
- Experience with any one or combination of Fivetran, Terraform, OpenTofu, Java Streams, AWS CDK
- Experience with monitoring tools (Sentry.io, Datadog)

185-200k base + Equity Incentives
