Smartling is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the US Sales Team in driving new business across North America, with a focus on high-value opportunities. This role requires a leader with a track record of strong results in software sales, deep technical aptitude, and experience leading teams engaged in complex sales cycles. The ideal candidate will execute established processes while introducing effective new approaches. The position requires a Leader with excellent communication skills, who can effectively collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and others.

You Will

  • Inspire, motivate, coach, and grow the US Sales team
  • Contribute as part of the GTM leadership team to develop and execute Smartling’s US acquisition strategy
  • Lead US Account Executives in identifying and closing new business opportunities across North America
  • Analyze pipeline health, deal progression, and historical trends to produce data-driven forecasts
  • Monitor and maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency within the sales team
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance management to direct reports
  • Act as a consultative partner to customers, demonstrating how the Smartling platform delivers ROI
  • Champion customer needs and help develop highly customized solutions

You Have

  • Proven track record of selling SaaS solutions and services to Enterprise-sized businesses
  • 2-4 years of sales management experience within B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated history of exceeding quotas and driving complex sale cycles
  • Expertise in building and scaling high-performing sales strategies that generate a qualified pipeline and close revenue
  • Ability to build strong strategic relationships and drive executive-level conversations with C-suite stakeholders
  • Experience hiring and developing talent through targeted training, mentorship, and performance management
  • Successful history of driving collaboration across internal teams and executive stakeholders
  • Superior analytical and creative thinking skills; entrepreneurial spirit and desire to identify and drive new revenue streams
  • Experience with either Sandler, Challenger, MEDDIC sales methods
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Bachelor's degree or higher

The US national total base pay range for this role is $100,000-130,000, not including the variable incentive component. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed.
