APAC Client Lead

We are redesigning how we support and work with our largest customers and are looking for an accomplished and highly motivated operations and digital expert to help grow and expand relationships with our largest global customers.

Smartly is at the forefront of a shift in how marketers communicate with consumers, redefining the customer journey as brands engage with their audiences. This position focuses specifically on our largest global customers.

As an APAC Client Lead, you will drive day-to-day operational excellence across key accounts, accelerate existing business growth, and manage Regional Strategic Accounts. You will build trust-based relationships with large advertisers, understand customer needs, and deliver value-based solutions. With a strong Customers First mindset, you will act as a trusted advisor and create outcomes that benefit both Smartly and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across customer organisations

  • Develop Joint Business Plans focused on customer priorities and Smartly solutions

  • Lead strategic planning with customer decision-makers, platforms, and partners

  • Work cross-functionally across Smartly globally to drive alignment, progress, and clarity

  • Own the account plan with the account management team, including key initiatives

  • Coordinate high-level execution by setting clear goals, priorities, and ownership

  • Establish effective feedback and escalation channels to support steady progress

  • Ensure alignment between customer needs and the product roadmap

  • Build and align relationships with customer partners including agencies and data partners

  • Own revenue forecasting, target setting, pipeline, and opportunity management

  • Drive commercial momentum with a strong focus on closing and account expansion

The person

We are looking for an ambitious, proactive, and experienced Client Lead who is highly organised, comfortable working independently, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

  • 8–12 years of experience in ad-tech or mar-tech, with a strong track record of growing strategic accounts

  • Natural ability to lead, organise, and orchestrate complex account teams

  • Strong commercial mindset, motivated by sales, expansion, and customer success

  • Comfortable being held to a revenue number

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including C-level engagement

  • Curious and motivated to deeply understand the product and sell across levels

  • Strong collaborator with cross-functional teams including sales, product, marketing, and engineering

  • Open to travel

  • Nice to have: experience working with regional, multi-national businesses
