Sr. Content Writer I - GTM Content (Remote Eligible)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Content Writer to join our Content Strategy Team. The Senior Content Writer will play a pivotal role in bringing the Smartsheet content strategy to life by producing high-quality, engaging materials that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. 

This individual will be responsible for creating a variety of content—ranging from thought leadership articles to website copy and email campaigns—and ensuring all deliverables are aligned with brand messaging and marketing goals. The ideal candidate is both a storyteller and a strategic thinker, capable of balancing creativity with business objectives, delivering results that support marketing initiatives, and upholding editorial excellence.

You will report to the Manager, Content Strategy and can be based in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

  • Produce written content on behalf of the Smartsheet brand that is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone. 
  • Communicate complex ideas and product features in a way that everyone can understand.
  • Think about content programmatically, with a strong understanding of the best ways to repurpose and repackage content to get the most out of it.
  • Leverage our messaging and positioning across various channels and different content forms.
  • Craft engaging and well-researched content, with messaging tailored to the specific audience needs.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure content is visually appealing, effectively communicates key messages, and is easily digestible by our audience.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor messaging to help shape the content creation strategy, and suggest new and creative ideas to stay competitive.
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver compelling content to the right audience at the right time.
  • Support other duties as needed.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in writing, content creation, and content planning
  • 2+ years of experience in content marketing for enterprise B2B SaaS companies
  • Proven ability to write for a variety of formats, including long-form, short-form, and technical content
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and editing skills
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with design, development, campaigns, product and product marketing, and sales teams to deliver on strategic goals
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business marketing, communications, journalism, or other

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and some roles may be eligible for a RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. 

US Pay Range

$92,500 - $126,250 USD
