Senior Product Marketing Manager II - Smartsheet Gov (Remote Eligible)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to accelerate the growth of Smartsheet within the Government sector (federal, state, and local), leveraging our strong position as the first FedRAMP and DISA IL4 authorized Enterprise Work Management platform. You will be the subject matter expert for our federal, state, and local Government customer segments as well as the Smartsheet Gov platform, and own key aspects of our go-to-market strategy, including solution-level messaging and positioning, core content development, customer advocacy, and field enablement.

You will report directly to the Director of Solution and Industry Marketing located in our corporate office in Bellevue, WA office, and collaborate with stakeholders located across the US, from Washington state to Washington DC. You will take the lead on defining our product marketing strategy, working across our marketing, sales, product and engineering organizations. You’ll develop narratives and programs to help customers understand the value and capabilities of the Smartsheet Gov platform, and how customers can use them to accelerate the impact of their government agency. This involves showing customers the benefits of new capabilities and exploring common solutions they can solve with Smartsheet Gov. You’ll also conduct research and use customer insights to help shape and influence our product roadmap and create compelling thought leadership and educational resources.

You will report to the Director of Solution and Industry Marketing and can be based remotely or in our offices in Bellevue, WA (HQ).

You will:

  • Develop compelling Government-specific narratives and content, including solution-oriented value propositions, videos, customer stories, sales scripts, pitch decks, marque moments, and white papers
  • Work closely with the field organization to understand unique needs of the business, gather insights, and translate these needs into actionable GTM plans, programs, and content with a focus on enhancing sales effectiveness
  • Partner with other Smartsheet marketing teams including campaigns, events, content, digital marketing, and marketing automation teams to develop Government-specific content and campaigns to generate demand
  • Set clear and measurable metrics and use ‘test and learn’ approach using insights to adjust strategy and improve performance
  • Support other responsibilities as needed

You have:

  • 10+ years public sector experience with a nice to have of residing in the DC area
  • Passion for storytelling with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience developing and deploying marketing content and campaigns for Government audience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams that span marketing, sales, and product management organizations
  • Experience leading major product launches
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Strong attention to detail and can manage multiple projects simultaneously

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range

$135,000 - $180,000 USD
