
Manager, Corporate Accounting (Hybrid in Bangalore)

We are looking for a Manager to lead our Corporate Accounting team in India. This represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is knowledgeable in accounting, and proficient in building interpersonal relationships, both in and outside of the Accounting department.
Our Corporate Accounting team owns all P&L and Balance Sheet accounting (other than that related to revenue, accounts receivable, internation entities and deferred revenue). In addition to the management of monthly close and consolidation processes, the Corporate Accounting team covers a variety of challenging technical accounting topics. The team has high visibility within the overall accounting organization and within the company.
The working hours for this role are 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST. You will report to our Director of Accounting, who is based in the United States.
You Will:
- Help the Director of Accounting hire team members in India as needed
- Lead, mentor, and guide our Corporate Accounting team
- Lead the monthly close process across a variety of accounting topics
- Review accounting workpapers and own internal control documentation for corporate accounting processes
- Drive scalability efforts in our accounting processes through cross-functional partnering, system implementations, ERP enhancements, and process improvements
- Work cross functionally with other internal teams to gather data, resolve issues, and scale our business processes
- Partner with the Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, International Accounting and Tax team to review and provide corporate accounting schedules required as support for quarterly and annual filings
- Review analyses of variances between financial results month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter to ensure our financial statements are complete and accurate
- Support India Accounting and Tax as needed
- Interact with external and internal auditors as representative of the corporate accounting team
- Drive the integration of corporate accounting processes for acquired entities
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required
- 7+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in accounting and/or, finance positions
- 3+ years of management/team leadership experience
- CA license strongly preferred
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, SOX, financial statements, and ability to understand technical accounting concepts and topics
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Desire to work in fast-paced, high-growth company
- Highly detail-oriented and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to approach tasks hands-on and balance competing priorities across the Corporate Accounting team
- Legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis
- Fluency in English is required
