Sr. Systems Product Owner
For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped organizations scale smarter, automate the manual, uncover insights, and drive meaningful outcomes. We enable people and teams to move faster, think bigger, and solve complex problems. When challenge meets purpose and passion turns into progress — that’s where the magic happens.
We’re expanding our Systems Product Management capability to strengthen ownership, clarity, and outcomes across Smartsheet’s internal security and enterprise systems. As a Sr Systems Product Owner, you will own a defined business systems domain (Sales-to-Billing, Finance, HR, Identity, or other enterprise platforms), partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into clear system direction, prioritization, and outcomes. This role is well-suited for someone who wants to step into full product ownership - owning the what and why, not just documenting the how.
You’ll report to the Director of the IT & Security Product Management Office and collaborate closely with Engineering, Security and business teams to steward system health, roadmap clarity, and long-term value across your domain.
You Will:
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritization for a defined business systems domain, grounded in business outcomes and system realities.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to deeply understand workflows, pain points, data flows, and constraints
- Translate business needs into clear system-level requirements, tradeoffs, and prioritization decisions
- Balance new capabilities with system health, reliability, risk and technical constraints
- Partner with Engineering and Security to shape feasible, scalable solutions
- Establish and monitor system health, adoption, and performance metrics to guide decisions
- Create clarity where requirements are ambiguous or conflicting
- Communicate roadmap decisions, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Support governance, readiness, and lifecycle planning for system changes and enhancements
You Have:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise systems
- Strong experience working within a specific business systems domain (Sales, Finance, HR, Identity, Networking, or adjacent enterprise platforms)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex processes, data flows, and system interactions
- Experience partnering closely with technical teams to shape requirements and outcomes
- Comfortable making prioritization and tradeoff decisions based on value, impact, and constraints
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Curiosity, ownership mindset, and a desire to grow into full systems product leadership
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms is a strong plus
- Fluency in English is required
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully paid Health & Life insurance for full-time employees and family members
