
Commercial Account Executive - Danish Speaking

Smartsheet is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive, Expansion to drive significant revenue growth within a Denmark territory of accounts within the Commercial segment (500-5,000 employees). You will be responsible for expanding existing customer relationships across the entire portfolio of Denmark HQ’d Commercial accounts. You will develop and execute strategic account plans, drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities, and ensure Smartsheet’s footprint grows within Denmark. This role requires a strong understanding of local market dynamics, the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, and a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets with Denmark based customers.
This role will report to a Regional Director, Nordics & Netherlands.
You Will:
- Drive significant expansion revenue within the Denmark Commercial territory by building a sales pipeline, exceeding quotas, and managing sales cycles using ValueSelling and MEDDICC.
- Develop strategic account plans, fostering strong relationships with existing customers and channel partners, driving cross-selling and upselling, expanding Smartsheet's brand awareness with business users, middle-management and executives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to progress and win transactional and strategic opportunities
- Forecast accurately and track sales opportunities using sales tools such as Salesforce and Clari
- Prospect utilising tools like Outreach, Tableau, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn to proactively engage your book of business and initiate sales processes to build pipeline
- Be proactive visiting customers in-person and supporting local in-region Marketing events
- Run high-quality discovery, aligning with customers on business drivers and strategic objectives to create a mutual evaluation plan that has clear timelines and drives urgency
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Have:
- Experience selling to Denmark based organisations and Danish language proficiency
- 3+ years of successful SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding quotas in the Commercial segment with experience selling into Denmark based organisations
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships within the Commercial segment.
- Proven ability to drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Experience using and applying ValueSelling and MEDDICC
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and the competitive landscape in the Commercial segment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Legally eligible to work in the UK on an ongoing basis
