This role will serve as the primary finance architect for our cloud infrastructure and R&D operations. You will partner with senior leaders in Engineering and Product Management to navigate the complexities of multi-cloud environments and high-growth scaling.
This role will report to our Senior Manager of FP&A located in our Bellevue, WA office. This role is remote eligible; however, we have a preference for candidates located in the Western United States. The selected candidate may be expected to travel to the office periodically based on business needs.
You Will:

- Actively engage in the annual planning, quarterly forecasts and variance cycles
- Drive Infrastructure FinOps Excellence: Act as a core member of the FinOps practice, translating complex AWS/Azure/GCP usage data into actionable business insights
- Optimize Unit Economics: Partner with Engineering to define and track Cost per User or Consumptions based cost, identifying opportunities to improve gross margins through architectural efficiency
- Infrastructure Partnership: Lead monthly "Cloud Reviews" with Engineering VPs to analyze usage trends, Reserved Instance (RI) / Savings Plan coverage & waste reduction
- New Product Financial Underwriting: Build models to evaluate the ROI & margin impact of new features (e.g., AI) ensuring our innovation in automation remains profitable
- Month-End & Compliance: Manage month-end close for R&D, ensuring accrual accuracy and providing high-level variance analysis to the CFO organization
- Articulate findings into high-quality communications and support the execution of recommendations with internal and external partners.
- Process Automation: Leverage AI & BI tools and FP&A platforms to automate manual reporting, moving the team toward real-time financial visibility.
- Engage in ad-hoc analysis to drive business decisions and support business partner procurement needs
- Other duties as assigned
You Have:
- 5+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated growth in Finance/FP&A positions
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions with leaders
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in building complex financial models
- Direct experience with cloud-native cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, or AWS Cost Explorer) is a plus
- A plus if you speak the language of "Cloud." You understand the difference between compute, storage, and data transfer, and how they impact the P&L
- Willingness and ability to travel to the Bellevue location as business needs require
