Position Overview:

SmartyPants is looking for a detail-oriented individual with 3-5 years of DTC & eCommerce management experience in the CPG and supplements industry for an eCommerce Manager position.

The eCommerce Manager will spearhead DTC operations, on-site merchandising strategy and develop the full-funnel customer journey. Working cross-functionally with the sales, operations and marketing departments, the eCommerce Manager will strategically drive digital growth with a strong focus on revenue, brand identity and velocity goals. This role will operate in a high-growth environment and will have the opportunity to make a major impact on the Company’s development.

What You’ll Do:  

  • D2C Site Operations, Digital Content, Site Merchandising, 3PL Logistics, CX Support Management
  • Create Strategies for acquiring and retaining new customers, fostering Loyalty, and managing Subscriptions
  • Collaborate consistently with Customer Service and Warehouse Fulfillment leaders to enhance processes continuously, informed by customer interactions and feedback
  • Utilize 1P Data Audience Builds across multiple marketplaces
  • Analyze & Develop SEO strategy based on category data
  • Email & SMS Strategy
  • Formulate digital goals, strategies, and channel distribution as part of the budget planning process
  • Support Director of eCommerce in managing marketplace accounts to optimize spend based on Sales Opportunities & Goals
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) – Conversion Rates, Search Frequency Rank, Glance Views, New to Brand customers, Shopify Store metrics
  • Actively manage against the weekly and monthly goals in the sales/spend Forecasts
  • Develop solutions for increasing gains from winning strategies and mitigating any negative trends as cost-effectively as possible
  • Understand Lifetime Value and Acquisition Costs models
  • Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in eCommerce, Business, or other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a role working with Shopify and D2C eCommerce-related media/marketing programs tools
  • Experience with CPG specific industry
  • A strong analytical mindset with an intuitive sense of how to interpret KPIs and take operational advantage of data-driven insights
  • A solid understanding of eCommerce/trade-spend economics, as well as a strong grasp of conversion economics
  • A solid understanding of Inventory planning
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, and Keynote or Powerpoint
  • A demonstrated understanding of how to build effective media/trade-spend plans
  • A goal-oriented and KPI-driven attitude and approach
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to juggle many tasks, projects, and responsibilities at once
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational requirements in pursuit of the sales targets

The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. SmartyPants Vitamins takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible. SmartyPants Vitamins employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. Should the employee choose to participate, they can choose from a range of benefits to include, but is not limited to, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, sick leave, paid vacation and holidays. Any coverages for health insurance will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and associated governing plan documents.
