What We Are Looking For
The Merchandising Manager will lead the seasonal merchandising strategy and execution for Sandro North America across all Omni-Channel touchpoints. This role requires a highly analytical, trend-savvy, and collaborative individual who can translate global brand direction into market-relevant product assortments, drive sales through strategic buys, and align closely with cross-functional partners to maximize commercial success.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Seasonal Planning & Buying
- Lead and manage seasonal merchandising and buying strategies across North American omni-channels.
- Attend four annual buying sessions in Paris to curate assortments, input orders, and collaborate with the central team on collection feedback.
- Analyze market-specific trends and historical performance to determine and recommend optimal assortments.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of seasonal orders; track deliveries and manage in-season order changes, cancellations, and follow-ups.
- Own the full life cycle of the Purchase Order process - from creation through markdowns.
- Collaborate with Planning to manage open-to-buy and ensure alignment with sales plans and financial goals.
Reporting & Business Analysis
- Develop deep insights into product performance and customer behavior through weekly, monthly, and seasonal reporting.
- Present weekly trade analysis and strategic recommendations with key stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Monitor sales trends and performance metrics by store, channel, and category to proactively identify business drivers and challenges.
- Recommend markdowns and promotional strategies to optimize sell-through and margin.
- Provide in-depth, retroactive collection feedback to guide future seasonal development with the Paris HQ.
- Partner with Paris-based counterparts to advocate for North America exclusives, capsules, reorders, and business opportunities.
- Conduct regular store visits to gather market feedback, assess product performance, and strengthen in-store partnerships.
- Perform ongoing market and competitor analysis to inform assortment and pricing strategies.
Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement North America merchandising strategies in close partnership with the Senior Brand Director.
- Partner with Marketing/Communications to drive brand desirability and sales through key product exposure, gifting programs, and campaign launches.
- Present seasonal collections and key product focuses at internal retail conferences and seasonal kickoffs.
- Collaborate with lease partners to identify business-driving opportunities, including exclusives, capsules, and top-performing categories.
- Work closely with Planning & Allocation teams to manage store-to-store stock balancing and replenishment strategies.
- Partner with Training to develop and distribute Product Knowledge tools that empower store teams to drive performance.
- Coordinate with Visual Merchandising to align product presentation with seasonal flow and brand storytelling.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members to support their growth and performance.
Principal Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Required:

Experience & Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in Merchandising or Buying, ideally within the luxury or contemporary fashion space.
- Deep understanding of the North American retail landscape and consumer behavior.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Tableau and Anaplan is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including public speaking.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional and international team environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role: minimum of 3 days per week in-office.
