Job Summary:
The Enterprise Proposal Writer will develop custom and complex Requests for Information (RFI) and Proposals (RFP) for large clients. In this role, they will thoughtfully craft proposals to support the sales team in illustrating the SmithRx value proposition to potential clients, consultants, and benefit brokers. They will interface with internal teams across the organization (Sales, Analytics, Clinical, Legal, Account Management, etc.) to gain an in-depth understanding of SmithRx to accurately represent services. During the RFP off-season, the writer will cross-train and contribute to other areas of SmithRx that are in need, such as implementation or contracting.
What you will do:
- Oversee the Enterprise RFI and RFP process, serving as central point of contact for coordinating and combining proposal drafts from all contributors
- Heavily customize proposals to illustrate the company’s value proposition while illustrating an understanding of each client’s unique needs
- Communicate clearly to Sales when RFP materials are ready for submission and provide links to all submission materials
- Collaborate with the Strategy, Revenue, and Sales teams to gather track down responses to RFP questions that aren’t readily available
- Review, edit, and customize proposal drafts and executive summaries to produce a final product with a consistent voice
- Ensure new responses are sent to the Content Database for future usage
- Cross-train and contribute to other areas of SmithRx in the RFP off-season (typically October – December) such as implementation, contracting, or other areas as needed
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- 5+ years of RFI/RFP experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- Experience in PBM, software, employee benefits, healthcare industries is a plus
- Experience utilizing RFP management tools such as Ringmaster, Proposal Tech, TrueBid
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
- Clear and concise writing skills
- Experience with Excel, Salesforce and Adobe
- Ability to multitask across several work streams, and to work independently to manage tasks and projects to meet firm deadlines
- Ability to collaborate constructively and positively with teammates and partners, even under the stress of a fast-paced business environment
- You are low ego and have a knack for working well with a wide range of people
