About Snorkel

At Snorkel, we believe meaningful AI doesn’t start with the model, it starts with the data.

We’re on a mission to help enterprises transform expert knowledge into specialized AI at scale. The AI landscape has gone through incredible changes between 2015, when Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab, to the generative AI breakthroughs of today. But one thing has remained constant: the data you use to build AI is the key to achieving differentiation, high performance, and production-ready systems. We work with some of the world’s largest organizations to empower scientists, engineers, financial experts, product creators, journalists, and more to build custom AI with their data faster than ever before. Excited to help us redefine how AI is built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!

We are seeking a high-impact IT Operations Engineer who is as comfortable in the weeds of troubleshooting as they are designing the future of our automation.  As we scale toward major growth and security compliance milestones, we need a technical enabler – someone who views “IT Support” not as a burden, but as an opportunity to identify friction and automate it out of existence.

You will be the primary “boots on the ground” for our tech stack, ensuring that as we grow, our system remains invisible, secure, and seamless.

What You will Do

  • The Ultimate Enabler: Provide Tier 1/2/3 support for our global team. You are the "final stop" for complex macOS/Windows issues, network drops, and SaaS integrations. If it’s broken, you fix it; if it’s repetitive, you automate it.
  • Scale through Automation: Build and maintain the "glue" between our tools. You will use AI agents, API scripts (Python/Bash), and Okta Workflows to ensure onboarding, offboarding, and access requests happen in seconds, not hours.
  • Security & Compliance "Doer": Lead the technical execution for SOC2 compliance. You will implement the controls in our tech stack (e.g. Okta, Jamf Pro,  Crowdstrike, etc.), perform access reviews, and ensure our Cisco Meraki network is hardened and audit-ready.
  • Full-Stack Management: Own the daily health of our core tools: Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Zoom, and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence).
  • AI Implementation: Proactively improve our AI-driven solutions (like LLM-powered support bots) to enable self-service for employees, allowing you to stay focused on high-value scaling projects.
  • Office & AV Infrastructure: Maintain and optimize local office networking (Meraki) and high-stakes conference room AV to ensure a frictionless "it just works" experience for the team.

Who You Are

  • A "Bias for Action" Engineer: You don’t wait for a ticket to tell you something is wrong. You see a bottleneck and you build a solution.
  • 6+ Years of IT Excellence: You have deep roots in modern, cloud-first startup environments.
  • The Stack Expert: You have "system administrator" experience with Okta, Jamf Pro, Crowdstrike, Cisco Meraki, and Google Workspace. * Scripting & API Savvy: You are proficient in Python or Bash. You don't just use apps; you connect them via APIs to create seamless workflows.
  • Customer-Centric: You have a "no task too small" attitude. You take pride in helping a teammate solve a technical hurdle so they can get back to building.
  • Clear Communicator: You can translate "Technical Debt" into "Business Risk" for leadership and provide empathetic, clear instructions to non-technical users.

Why Join Us?

  • Direct Impact: You are joining at a stage where your decisions on automation and security will define the company’s foundation for years to come.
  • Modern Tech: No legacy servers or 20-year-old hardware. We use the best tools available.
  • Growth: As the company scales, you will have the opportunity to grow into a leadership or specialized architectural role.

Salary Range

$101,000 - $159,000 USD

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
