JOB SUMMARY

Sample: The Account Manager positions are the "face" of Snow to the client. This position is ultimately responsible for ensuring that client expectations are being exceeded in regard to the specifications outlined in agreed-upon Statements of Work (SOW). Account Managers, even more so than other team members, must be able to anticipate needs, be influential without authority, and sell the services of Snow at all times. They are responsible for having a good understanding of the brand strategy and marketing goals, as well as an understanding of the client’s unique skills or gaps in performance and communication.

Account Managers must have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must also be able to balance the needs of the client with the needs of Snow’s business. They must have the ability to quickly build trust and credibility with the client. They are responsible for communicating the status of an account to their superiors, their peers, and their subordinates. In addition, they are responsible for daily communication with the client.

Snow’s business is centered around the patient journey, and the (TITLE), like all positions at Snow, must be open, compassionate, and sensitive to the unique life experiences of the patients and caregivers with whom we engage. The (TITLE) must be able to incorporate the unique patient/caregiver experience into the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients.


PATIENT PRIVACY

The core of our business is working with patients. It is most likely that you will come in contact with personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI) of patients living with chronic illness. The EVP will be required to successfully complete and adhere to training courses which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Snow Policies and Procedures

  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements such as the Privacy Rule, the Security Rule, and Sunshine Act reporting

  • Adverse Event (AE) Reporting

  • The promotional requirements for pharmaceuticals under the FDA and FTC and other applicable federal or state regulations

  • Privacy and Data Security


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Seen as primary owner of Account relationship

  • Manage client relationships two-three levels above day-to-day client

  • Act as primary agency Ambassador in managing ad hoc issues and opportunities (e.g., to deliver capabilities to new business prospects, pacify upset senior client, etc.)

  • Maintain “guru” status with clients and engaged in key strategic meetings

  • Be known and respected among client teams

  • Convert new business into agency revenue

  • Lead onboarding of all new clients, regardless of level

  • Possess superior networking skills/membership in professional groups

  • Play active role in defining, clarifying, and evolving agency short- and long-term “Go-to-Market” strategy and suite of offerings

  • Possess superior communication skills across the board

  • Maintain strong, professional presence that immediately puts clients at ease and wins their confidence

  • Expert presentation skills to a few key individuals or to a large client team

  • Communicate complicated ideas in a manner that everyone can understand

  • Annually deliver courses relating to leadership, client management, or business communications for the benefit of more junior colleagues

  • Manage multiple account teams

  • Accountable for all agency teams maintaining high-quality deliverables

  • Ensure teams consistently follow established processes/guidelines for executing agency offerings (Relationship Maps, differentiated brand positions, tactical brainstorms, etc.)

  • Serve as a mentor to account group and take initiative to develop training mechanisms

  • Responsible for evangelizing Agency’s evolving service offerings, processes, and best practices to all staff and clients

  • Establish agency-wide example of interdepartmental partnership and collaboration

  • Demonstrate strong work ethic, delegate, provide real-time feedback and recognition, celebrate success, excellent active listening skills, make decisions for betterment of all, maintain optimistic outlook in all situations

  • Ownership of pan-Agency capability/resource (internal or external-facing)

  • Work with VP Client Services and other SS leads to ensure all accounts are staffed appropriately to meet client/project needs

  • Act as “Champion” for all direct reports/team members and take full responsibility for helping advance them toward promotion

  • Navigate challenging client situations while keeping the team calm and motivated

  • Maintain “guru” status with clients and engaged for key strategic meetings

  • Continually demonstrate expertise in all aspects of strategy

  • Seen by clients and colleagues as experienced in multiple therapeutic areas

  • Establish agency-wide example of ability to deliver multi-channel solutions for clients

  • Active participant in new business planning, agency capability expansions, resourcing decisions, and financial discussions

  • Champion for all internal financial processes and for teams being vigilant about project budgets and agency fees

  • Evaluate needs for freelance resources, monitoring department utilization and budgets

  • Final responsibility for meeting quarterly/annual forecasts

  • Final responsibility for year-over-year account growth in alignment with established growth targets

  • Maintain overall accountability for on-time and on-budget delivery of work

  • This position may include up to 30% travel

The EVP may be asked to perform additional duties and responsibilities consistent with those listed above based upon business needs.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge:

  • 10+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sector or professional services

Skills:

  • Successfully led agency pitch and/or landed large new brand/account with minimal supervision and/or oversaw significant year-over-year growth of existing brand or account

  • Demonstrated expertise in the successful design and delivery of creative solutions for clients

  • Respected among Snow C-suite and seen as a leader and “go-to” person within the agency

  • Has received consistently positive feedback from senior-level clients and team members

  • Held team leadership role in launching or re-launching (new indications, etc.) a large pharmaceutical brand


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND RELATED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years of related experience and/or training preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. In some instances, a passport may be necessary.

  • At least 4 years in current role as VP, Group Account Director

  • Successful track record of managing multiple brands/accounts with minimal oversight

  • Strong experience in managing large, multi-disciplinary teams consisting of 10-20 professionals

The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

  • $200 - &220K
