The SOCi Professional Services team grows long-term profitable customer relationships by making strategic, operational, and measurable contributions to customers’ unique business objectives as it pertains to managed social media services. 

SOCi is seeking a versatile Social Media Manager with strong organizational and communication skills to join the company’s fast-paced Professional Services team. This role involves managing a defined book of customers and coordinating individual communications to develop multi-channel social content strategies aligned with client business objectives. Acting as a core contributor, the Social Media Manager must possess solid decision making skills, and be able to independently exercise sound judgment within established procedures and practices to determine the best course of action. Responsibilities include collaborating with a team that is writing and designing content, and adapting social campaigns to deliver higher value results, while ensuring timely task completion and customer satisfaction. This role requires minimal day-to-day instruction and general to moderate guidance on new assignments, making it a great opportunity for an individual who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills are essential.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Act as the account manager for key customers’ local users, fostering strong relationships and serving as the main point of contact for their social media initiatives.
  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies tailored to key customer objectives, ensuring alignment with overall brand goals.
  • Provide oversight for a group of locations within a key account(s), ensuring the content team produces high-quality, targeted content that aligns with and effectively implements the customer’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their goals and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance their social media presence and engagement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to streamline project workflows and resolve any obstacles to delivering customer content.
  • Monitors and updates the internal team on the status of all content team delivery tasks for their book of business and communicates this status in regular syncs
  • Stays well informed of localized social media trends and strategies; proactively recommends actionable ideas that continuously set SOCi as the leader in the space
  • Ensures SOCi is meeting SLA on delivery by quality control checking all posts and occasionally managing or creating posts should the need arise.
  • Monitoring Facebook boosting and/or ads where needed to ensure proper execution associated with book of business
  • Troubleshooting any customer issues including support on other areas of the SOCi platform
  • Maintaining situational awareness of the overall customer and providing top notch customer service
  • Manage the intake and rollout of monthly corporate-wide event posts across all customer locations, including asset creation when required by customer

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Ability to work 100% remote.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role, with a strong preference for roles involving social media strategy, account management, or content oversight. Background in social media marketing, SaaS, or startup environments is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Pinterest) and emerging trends. Experience with social media analytics tools and familiarity with Canva or other design platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a proven ability to tailor content to different audiences. Strong presentation skills; public speaking experience is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with customer goals.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of attention to detail, ensuring the quality and consistency of content across deliverables.
  • Industry Experience: Background in social media marketing, SaaS, or startup environments is highly desirable.
