Senior Product Designer

United States (Remote)

As a Sr. Product Designer at SOCi, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our platform. You'll be tasked with creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, and user feedback. You'll work closely with our product and engineering teams to design solutions that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional and intuitive. This role requires a strong mix of UX design, UI design, and an entrepreneurial spirit since you'll be navigating the product landscape.

SOCi expects to pay a base salary in the range of $110,000 to $150,000 USD base plus bonuses/commission. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

How You’ll’ Make an Impact:

  • Platform and Systems Thinking: Lead the design of intuitive and scalable user experiences, incorporating a deep understanding of platform dynamics and systems thinking.
    User Research: Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and studies to gain insights and inform design decisions.
  • Design Skills: Proficient in high-fidelity design creation and tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and other industry tools, with a solid grasp of UI/UX principles.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify user issues and business goals to define design opportunities and align them with business strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with teams across functions, communicate design concepts clearly, and incorporate feedback.
  • User-Centric Design: Lead a user-focused design process from ideation to execution, iterating based on user feedback.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing project scopes to meet deadlines.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on design trends and tools, applying new knowledge to improve designs and practices.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior designers, foster teamwork, and promote design best practices.
  • UX Advocacy: Advocate for user experience importance, ensuring products meet high usability and accessibility standards.
  • Analytical Skills: Use data and analytics to support design decisions, familiar with A/B testing and user behavior analysis tools.
  • Initiative: Display proactivity in improving processes and methodologies, identifying issues and opportunities independently.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain exceptional organizational abilities, managing complex projects and timelines efficiently.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Ability to work 100% remotely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design skills.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting user research and usability testing independently.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience in social media management and reputation management platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to manage and lead 0-1 initiative
  • A baseline understanding of technical issues and how they affect the design
  • An appetite for learning and growth for yourself and your colleagues
  • A passion for the little big details
