Events & Customer Marketing Coordinator

SOCi, the leader in AI-powered marketing solutions for multi-location businesses, is currently looking for an experienced Events and Customer Marketing Coordinator to primarily support event execution and customer marketing initiatives that drive both sales pipeline and customer engagement. You will help ensure smooth, coordinated delivery across key programs while contributing to broader marketing efforts as needed. This role partners closely with Demand Gen, Content, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure alignment and cohesive execution across initiatives.

SOCi expects to pay a base salary in the range of $67,000 - $73,000 CAD. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support the coordination and execution of SOCi events, including regional events, webinars, virtual experiences, and the annual Reimagine Conference.
  • Assist with event logistics such as scheduling, vendor coordination, asset preparation, shipping, registration management, and internal communication.
  • Help develop and organize event promotional materials, including emails, landing pages, social posts, and other multi-channel assets.
  • Support customer marketing initiatives by assisting with email campaigns, lifecycle touchpoints, direct mail programs, and engagement efforts.
  • Coordinate with the social media manager to plan and schedule event- and customer-marketing-related social content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Demand Gen, Content, Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure alignment on event and campaign needs.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining marketing calendars, project plans, timelines, and shared documentation.
  • Support content-related tasks such as drafting or proofreading copy, preparing event descriptions, updating landing pages, and coordinating asset creation with designers.
  • Assist with CRM tasks, including list preparation, data cleanup, tagging, tracking, and campaign setup.
  • Pull basic reports and support the tracking of event effectiveness, campaign performance, and customer engagement metrics.
  • Conduct research on venues, vendors, event opportunities, competitive activities, and industry trends.
  • Organize and maintain digital assets, content libraries, and shared resources to support team efficiency.
  • Support general marketing operations and cross-functional projects as team and business needs evolve.
  • Be flexible and open to additional responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Hybrid Opportunity: This role is fully remote until our Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON offices are established. Once the office is in place, it will transition to a hybrid model, with a 50/50 split between remote and in-office work.
  • Must Have:  
    • 0–2 years of experience in marketing, events, or related roles (internships or project experience welcome).
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and priorities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts, including email, landing pages, and multi-channel campaigns.
    • Familiarity with marketing tools such as CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, or project management software (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, ClickUp) is a plus.
    • Comfortable working with data, pulling basic reports, and using spreadsheets to support tracking and analysis.
    • Resourceful problem-solver with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative.
    • Ability to adapt quickly, learn new tools and processes, and contribute to evolving team needs.
    • Creative thinker who brings new ideas, approaches, and attention to brand consistency.
    • Willing to adapt to changes in the job description as deemed necessary by the business and accept all other duties as assigned
  • Desired Skills (but not required):  
    • Basic copywriting or content editing skills 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
