Associate Product Manager

United States (Remote)

SOCi, the leader in AI-powered marketing solutions for multi-location businesses, is currently looking for an Associate Product Manager to support the delivery of product features and enhancements across SOCi’s Platform area — the foundational capabilities the rest of the product depends on. This area spans Data Management; Single Sign-On (SSO); User Roles; Groups, Locations, and Account Hierarchy; Reseller Plans and Back Office; Localization; and Check My Presence (CMP). These are SOCi’s platform capability areas — the identity, account-structure, data, localization, and back-office systems the rest of the product is built on.

This role focuses on learning core product management practices, including requirement definition, cross-functional coordination, and basic data analysis. The APM works closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and Design to execute on roadmap priorities while building foundational skills in product discovery, prioritization, and delivery. Because the Platform area underpins the broader product, the APM develops an early understanding of how data models, permissions, and account structure affect product decisions across teams.

SOCi is an AI-forward company. We treat AI as a force multiplier and expect it to be part of how everyone works — using AI is the default, not an optional add-on. The APM is expected to apply AI tools to accelerate research, documentation, requirement writing, and analysis, and to continually grow their skill in doing so.

SOCi expects to pay a base salary in the range of $75,000 to 90,000 USD base. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Who We Are

SOCi is redefining how multi-location enterprises achieve local and AI search visibility with the world’s first agentic workforce. Built specifically for distributed brands, SOCi’s brand-trained agents are guided by a unified visibility engine that autonomously executes and optimizes local marketing work across AI search, GEO ecosystems, social, and reviews — ensuring every location is visible, discoverable, and growing in today’s geo-driven landscape. Trusted by leading brands like Ford, Ace Hardware, and Liberty Tax, and recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies, SOCi transforms marketing from software you manage into work that gets done — intelligently, consistently, and at scale.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Execute against defined product requirements and sprint commitments
  • Translate product requirements into detailed user stories and tasks
  • Ensure alignment between product requirements and engineering implementation
  • Track progress of features and proactively identify risks or blockers
  • Validate delivered features against acceptance criteria and user expectations
  • Support product launches, including internal communication and documentation
  • Maintain product documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing

Additional role-specific responsibilities (Platform):

  • Support Product Managers across the Platform domains — Data Management; SSO; User Roles; Groups, Locations, and Account Hierarchy; Reseller Plans and Back Office; Localization; and CMP — learning how each capability serves internal teams, customers, and resellers
  • Help document and maintain requirements for identity, access, and permissions features (SSO and User Roles), including edge cases around role-based access and account structure
  • Assist with requirements and validation for account hierarchy concepts — groups, locations, and multi-level account relationships — that other product areas depend on
  • Help track data quality, integration, and localization considerations that affect platform-wide consistency
  • Support reseller plans and back-office workflows, coordinating with internal operations stakeholders on configuration and entitlement requirements
  • Coordinate with Product Managers across squads to understand cross-area dependencies, since Platform changes frequently affect multiple product teams
  • Use AI tools as a force multiplier in day-to-day work — accelerating research, documentation, requirement drafting, and analysis — and continuously improve how the role applies AI

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the execution of product features from ideation through release
  • Writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and basic product requirements
  • Collaborating with engineering and design teams during sprint planning and execution
  • Assisting in backlog grooming, prioritization, and release coordination
  • Conducting basic user research, competitive analysis, and data gathering
  • Monitoring feature performance and reporting on key metrics
  • Supporting testing, QA validation, and release readiness activities

The responsibilities of this role do not include:

  • Owning product strategy or long-term roadmap decisions
  • Making independent prioritization decisions across product areas
  • Leading large cross-functional initiatives or programs
  • Owning business outcomes such as revenue or retention metrics
  • Managing other employees or directly supervising team members

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Remote Opportunity: Ability to work 100% remotely
  • Must Have:
    • 0–1 years of relevant experience in product, engineering, or related roles
    • Basic understanding of product development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Genuine interest in using AI tools as a core part of daily work (at SOCi, working with AI is expected, not optional)

Required Competencies

    • Building Trusting Relationships – The ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships and rapport with different types of people and business. This includes delivering on commitments and maintaining confidential information, as well as being approachable, showing interest in the other person, and relating well to people regardless of personality or background.
    • Communication – The ability to convey information clearly and accurately, as well as choosing the most effective method of delivery (e.g., email, phone, face-to-face). This includes using a technically sound communication style both verbally and in writing.
    • Creating the New and Different – The ability to be creative. This includes the ability to produce breakthrough ideas, being a visionary, managing innovation, seeing multiple futures, having broad interests and knowledge, and gaining support in order to translate new ideas into solutions. This also includes the ability to plan and implement unconventional ideas and speculate about alternative futures without all of the data.
    • Decision Making – The ability to make quick, accurate decisions. This includes the ability to weigh alternatives and take into account the impact of the decisions on people, equipment, or other resources.
    • Getting Work Done – The ability to be organized, resourceful, and planful. This includes the ability to leverage multiple resources to get things done and lay out tasks in sufficient detail. This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.
    • Time Management – The ability to quickly prioritize mission-critical from less important. This includes sensing what the next most useful thing is to work on, and focusing on the critical few tasks that add value while putting aside or delaying the rest.
    • Analytical Skills – The ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in simple to moderately complex data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.
    • Willing to adapt to changes in the job description as deemed necessary by the business and accept all other duties as assigned

  • Desired Skills (but not required):
    • Internship or prior exposure to product management or SaaS environments
    • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
    • Basic understanding of APIs, UX principles, or data analysis
    • Exposure to platform or infrastructure concepts such as authentication/SSO, role-based access control, data models, or multi-tenant account structures
    • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants) and how they apply to product work such as research, requirements, and analysis
    • Hands-on experience using AI to accelerate real work — the strongest candidates already treat AI as a daily force multiplier

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field

This position will remain open with applications due 30 days from the date of this posting. This position is being hired on an urgent basis. The application window may close before the above mentioned window if SOCi receives a sufficient number of applications to select a candidate prior to that date.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
