Team Overview:
The Operations Team at SOE supports the company as a whole to create the necessary environment for the best engineering to occur. Each member of the team comes from unique and diverse backgrounds to ensure the company is properly resourced and that money flows smoothly and responsibly throughout the organization.
Job Overview:
As the Operations Coordinator for the Executive Leadership Team, you will act as a gatekeeper and advocate for engineering leadership, influencing priorities and driving efficiency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will collaborate with functions across the company, act as an enthusiastic ambassador of SOE, and wear many hats to accelerate company growth and success. Ideally, you are eager to gain exposure to a wide variety of problems and have a tenacious attitude towards problem-solving and project execution.
What You Will Do:
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior engineering leadership, managing communication with both internal and external stakeholders and ensuring timely responses to emails and inbound messages
- Prioritize and manage senior engineering leadership’s calendars, which includes organizing external meetings with customers and internal meetings with various SOE teams
- Manage basic purchases, contractor engagements, expense reports, and travel coordination in partnership with our Operations team
- Attend key internal and external meetings, where you will document and communicate action items to ensure timely follow-up and execution
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, meeting agendas, and other deliverables through research, analyzing data, and stakeholder communication
- Partner with our Office and People Operations team to plan and facilitate employee engagement events, such as parties, lunch BBQs, and team dinners.
- Anticipate the needs of the engineering leadership team and proactively come up with solutions to mitigate issues, concerns, or conflicts
- Interface with other executives and departments to support company objectives across the organization
What You Will Need:
- Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Education, Business, Humanities, Philosophy, English, or a related field
- Exceptional people and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with and communicating sensitive information
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and effectively generate and implement solutions
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- High level of empathy and patience for others
- Comfort with interfacing directly with executives and engineering leaders
What Would Be Useful:
- Experience with managing the complex calendar of a Director or VP level individual
- Experience with interfacing with C-suite executives
- Experience working in a small business/startup/tech/consulting environment
- Ability to match voice and tone in written format
- High degree of proficiency with analytical tools, spreadsheets, R
- General interest in learning about engineering challenges
- Curiosity for technology, electronics, hardware/software systems, or business organization
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, CRM tools, and ATS systems

Additional Requirements:
- Applicant must be willing to work 40 hours a week on-site in El Segundo, California, USA
