Senior Strategy Analyst

Position summary:

You are a driven, self-motivated, and hungry to learn individual, who is looking to build a career in digital advertising.  As a Strategy Analyst, you will be a crucial support to the sales team.  In this role, you will be asked to perform deep-dive analysis into customer, seller, product and campaign data. You will have the opportunity to work with and influence multiple departments including Sales, Customer Success, Commercial Leadership, Marketing and Finance through the use of data. You are a detailed, focused and determined individual with an effective communication style.

What you will do:

  • Proficiently utilizes Salesforce with Sojern’s architecture and guidelines; follows Sojern sales processes, products, pricing, and cross-functional operations to increase sales and productivity.
  • Develops internal relationships, sets recurring meetings and proactively communicates with stakeholders such as Sales Account Executives & Leadership, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Finance, Product Managers, and Marketing to provide insight & leadership through data.
  • Prepares and analyzes sales forecasts; collects and analyzes data to evaluate current sales achievement.
  • Maintains existing sales Tableau dashboards and proactively drive ad hoc reporting aimed at process optimization and sales growth.
  • Analyzes sales and account data; identifies trends and performance and proactively makes recommendations regarding strategic sales initiatives.
  • Creates and innovates on tools, processes, and procedures, specifically including but not limited to: Salesforce, Existing queries (Big Query) and Tableau to support and strengthen the sales organization.
  • Support finance in planning and analysis activities, QAing data discrepancies, decision making, budget distribution, and tracking.
  • Help build prospecting and proposal presentations via gathering relevant slides, researching information to be included and/or providing input, analysis and support of presentations.
  • Evaluates third-party solutions for appropriate Commercial Strategy functions as needed.
  • Duties include supporting multiple markets, leading to after-hour calls and potentially traveling internationally.
  • Possesses a masterful understanding of Sojern data, products/solutions and team functions and is able to interact effectively with Sojern’s systems (BigQuery, Tableau & Salesforce.)

Identifies conditions that contribute to gaps or key variances; explores relationships between conditions and outcomes; distinguishes causes from symptoms and identifies primary causes. Generates ideas for solutions; analyzes the potential effect or impact of each solution; selects appropriate solutions. Tests solutions; gathers feedback on effectiveness; reviews impact on baseline measures; modifies solutions as appropriate to ensure effectiveness.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills

Comprehends and can explain technical terminology and recent advances in the field. Appropriately uses one’s technical knowledge and skills to complete tasks effectively and efficiently. Chooses the correct situation and timing to apply technical knowledge and skills. Leverages one’s technical expertise to take advantage of new opportunities, solve difficult work problems, and accomplish challenging goals.

Identifies more critical and less critical activities and tasks; adjusts priorities when appropriate. Ensures that required equipment and/or materials are in appropriate locations so that own and others’ work can be done effectively. Effectively allocates own time to complete work; coordinates own and others’ schedules to avoid conflicts. Leverage available resources (individuals, processes, departments, and tools) to complete work efficiently. Uses time effectively and prevents irrelevant issues or distractions from interfering with work completion; follows up promptly on action items.

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience (preferred in business, marketing, or a related field)
  • 4+ years operations or analytics experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau experience and related data visualization systems
  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience with respect to activity tracking and reporting
  • 2+ years of SQL experience
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data filters/sorts 
  • Knowledge of basic statistical analysis, functional understanding of advanced modeling techniques and programming languages (e.g. Python) is a plus
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies and able to work independently & cross-functionally
  • Goal-oriented, passionate, high-energy professional with a “no excuses” attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable and competent in communications to veteran sales representatives and executives
  • Possesses the drive to participate and succeed in the growth of a fast-paced, exciting company
  • Strong computer skills with experience using MS Office, Google and Salesforce applications

€63.000 - €75.000 EUR
