Your Role

Budgeting and Cost Management: Design and oversee comprehensive budgeting processes, monitor budgets against actuals, and provide actionable insights through monthly, annual, and ad-hoc performance reviews with leadership and cost centre owners. Recommend cost-saving initiatives and optimize resource allocation.

Financial Modeling and Planning: Build detailed financial models for various scenarios, conduct variance analyses, and identify data-driven insights to support strategic projects aimed at enhancing revenue, gross margins, and EBITDA performance.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Analyse financial performance and provide clear, actionable insights through robust reporting processes. Prepare and contribute to financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership, C-level executives, and other stakeholders.

Operational Oversight: Collaborate closely with the People & Organisation department to monitor workforce development, document organisational changes (e.g., vacancies, new position requests, internal movements), and ensure effective management of compensation-related expenses in line with business needs.

Internal Controls and Compliance: Track and manage the budget against actuals including the responsibility for monthly and ad-hoc performance reviews with leadership and cost center owners.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a business partner to various departments, providing financial guidance and ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Work with the Finance team to ensure the accuracy of accounting outputs, including cost allocations and accrual processes, in line with management reporting.

- Minimum work experience of 5+ years in financial institutions, banking or fintechs industries.
- Experience in either/or business planning and controlling, strategy consulting, private/investment banking, business analytics and/or finance.
- Experience with financial modeling, creating and optimizing business cases.
- Educational background in Economics, Finance, Business or similar fields.
- Knowledge of the main office IT tools (in particular Microsoft Excel and Power Point), and knowledge of programming languages (such as VBA, SQL, or Python)
- Professional fluency in English, both speaking and writing. German language proficiency is beneficial.
