Coordinator, Quality Control

The Coordinator, Quality Control will report to the Manager, Quality Control. The Quality Control Coordinator plays a crucial role in upholding the Sol de Janeiro’s reputation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence by ensuring our products are compliant and meet or exceed established quality standards. They will perform incoming quality inspections, maintain quality standards, and support quality investigations.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Preform incoming inspections of finished product to determine compliance with specifications and Sol de Janeiro’s Quality standard.
- Create and file inspection reports.
- Verify and organize quality documentation from vendor base as needed.
- Coordinate directly with inbound and receiving teams in the warehouse.
- Maintain standards and final specifications for each finished product (SKU).
- Maintain and analyze trackers and other Quality data related to inbound inspections.
- Escalate quality issues and support non-conformance investigations.
- Support the management of quality retain samples.
- Support the Brand with customer complaint investigations.
- Review and support the improvement of Quality practices and procedures.
- Support the creation of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Support accurate inventory control practices as related to quality activities.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Highschool graduate
- 1-2+ years of experience in similar industry or quality-related field
- Able to reliability commute to job’s location (Edison, NJ) five days a week
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent judgment and ability to make timely decisions
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work from the Sol de Janeiro distribution center
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- Knowledge of cosmetics cGMP/ISO9001/ISO 22716
- Experience with Quality competencies such as AQL, root cause analysis, and CAPA management
- Certified in Lean Six Sigma/Quality Auditor

Salary Range
$55,000 - $60,000 USD
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
