Senior Manager, Motion Design

The position will report to the Global Chief Creative Director. 

 

Role Overview

This role is responsible for furthering the development of motion graphic needs within 360 Campaigns across all categories– taking work from concept to final execution under the leadership of the Sr. AD/Associate CD within the category. This individual will be able to seamlessly float across creative departments to partner with the entire category team and translate marketing objectives into motion design and go-to-market video assets. This individual will deliver full funnel 360 GTM campaigns– collaborating with category design teams and cross-functionally with category counterparts in Copy, Marketing and Retail. 

This individual must be a strong self-starter with a multi-disciplinary portfolio that shows experience in commercial 360 design executions and motion design. They must have a keen understanding of the importance of messaging hierarchies– able to partner with copy to ensure the CX across copy and design is clear and cohesive across channels. This person is eager to pitch in on collaborative big-picture thinking, but is currently an executional master who finds satisfaction in executing work to highest caliber.

Overall Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the SAD/ACD overseeing the campaign to ensure creative alignment throughout the 360 process in partnership with cross-functional partners within creative and marketing. Ensure brand design standards are upheld and that the style guide is adhered to. 
  • Be well versed in and continually up to date on visual and competitive trends while maintaining digital best practices across all channels within the market. Bridge the gap between marketing objectives and unique consumer experience. 
  • Adept iterative designer/animator, able to quickly conceptualize, implement and execute animation versioning for optimized media performance. 
  • Intake high level feedback, concept, execute, and deliver static and motion assets for paid media. Ensure assets satisfy marketing objectives and tone, highlight product efficacy, brand-DNA and storytelling. 
  • Oversee production of assets and resizes. Set usage standards to ensure that that all creative is brought to market as intended.  
  • Organize, strategize, and formalize the delivery of completed work so that executional teams (who will translate assets for other market needs) are set up for success.
  • Maintain excellent file management hygiene, ensuring work is easily packageable and navigable easily updated by internal and external partners. 
  • Partner with project management teams to ensure work is delivered to executional teams according to their various market needs. 

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS/BFA degree in Motion Graphics and/or Graphic Design.  
  • 7+ years experience working in relevant field in-house or agency, prestige beauty experience is preferred.  
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other industry-standard motion graphics software. Cinema4D experience is a plus. 
  • Master graphic technician: concerned with resolutions, color, size accuracy and production values.  
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely – ability to provide and receive constructive feedback that is necessary to improve creative.  
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Thoughtful, empathetic, and positive attitude with infectious personal drive that energizes others. 
  • A proactive, self-starter work ethic with the ability to operate independently within a small team.  
  • Must be highly collaborative with the ability to understand the objectives of all cross-functional partners and work toward solutions that meets that need and upholds the creative integrity of the brand.
  • Must be located in NYC and Surrounding Areas.
  • This role is a temp-to-perm opportunity. Well-qualified individuals seeking to counter a freelance trial will be asked to complete a Test Project

Salary Range

$110,000 - $125,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
