The Director of Influencer Marketing will develop the strategy, optimization and execution of influencer partnerships to drive brand awareness, engagement and sales for the Americas region.  This role involves the oversight of influencer content and partnerships, gifting and events.  The director will work with the Influencer Marketing Team to develop innovative campaigns and measure performance in line with brand strategy.
 
This role will report to the Executive Director, Americas Marketing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional influencer strategy and approach for Sol de Janeiro Americas, aligned with brand & global goals while adapting to regional needs.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of influencer campaigns—ensuring high-impact collaborations that drive both cultural relevance and conversion.
  • Create content powerhouse ensuring influencer content is transformative, platform-specific, and strategically optimized for Paid amplification where appropriate.
  • Oversee influencer & agency relationships to cultivate long-term brand loyalty and advocacy, ensuring we own key voices for seasonal and category moments.
  • Build strong cross function relationships with regional marketing partners and channel leads to ensure influencer initiatives support commercial goals and drive retailer and channel demand.
  • Partner with Paid Media lead to ensure seamless integration of influencer content to Paid initiatives —leveraging creators to drive both brand resonance and retail conversion.
  • Scale influencer strategy to meet the proliferation of audiences, platforms, and occasions—mapping audience segments to key life moments, cultural triggers, and motivators.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with global counterparts to maintain cohesive campaign planning while adapting to regional execution needs.
  • Set strong KPIs, measure effectiveness and track learnings for all influencer campaigns—leveraging data and analytics to optimize creator selection, messaging, and spend allocation. Distribute insights and learnings regularly with internal teams via monthly reporting.
  • Develop and oversee budget for influencer marketing, ensuring investments are optimized for maximum impact across brand-building, performance, and retail-driven initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of platform shifts, content trends, and evolving influencer marketing best practices to refine the regional strategy and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage and cultivate a high performing influencer marketing team—fostering innovation, strategic thinking, and executional excellence.

Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of related marketing experience 
  • Beauty industry experience required, category experience preferred  
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, the ability to simplify complexity and solve problems required  
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on building and fostering strong relationships with team and cross functional team members 
  • Ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback in a fast-paced environment 
  • Must be comfortable working in our NYC HQ 1-3 days a week

Salary Range

$180,000 - $200,000 USD

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
