
Director, People Experience and Operations (HRBP) EMEA

The position will report to the CPO dotted line to the Regional President. This role is a hybrid role based in Paris that requires 3 days per week in the office.
The Director, People Experience (HR Business Partner) for the EMEA region will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This position will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, providing expert guidance on HR-related matters. The HRBP will drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent development across the region.
Overall Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership:
- Collaborate with regional leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Develop processes to ensure organizational alignment and drive change with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead organizational structure reviews and redesigns to optimize team roles and workflows.
- Leverage HR metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Talent Management:
- Lead talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding efforts to attract and retain top talent.
- Advise Hiring Managers on best practices and ensure compliance with regional laws.
- Standardize recruitment processes and provide insights on market trends, skill gaps, and development opportunities.
- Drive talent strategy, including talent reviews and succession planning.
Employee Relations & Compliance:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager concerns, resolving conflicts fairly and consistently.
- Handle employee relations cases with discretion and care.
- Build strong, trusting relationships across all levels.
- Ensure HR policies comply with local labor laws, especially in France.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Collaborate with the compensation team to ensure competitive salary structures and benefits that attract and retain talent.
Culture & Engagement:
- Foster a positive workplace culture and lead employee engagement efforts.
- Support organizational change initiatives with effective communication strategies.
Performance Management:
- Implement performance management processes focused on feedback and development.
- Oversee probation periods, reviews, and manage performance issues on a case-by-case basis.
Learning and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
- Use data to monitor and improve initiatives that align with Sol de Janeiro’s objectives.
- Collaborate with the People Experience Team on L&D plans during review periods.
Operational Support:
- Manage the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, payroll, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role, preferably within the EMEA region.
- Must have experience working and managing HR policies in France.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws across multiple EMEA countries.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 10+ years proven experience as an HR Business Partner in a Corporate environment or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in talent management and organizational development while supporting a high growth environment.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Knowledge and experience of French payroll systems (Use of CIC/Crowe Fidelio/Internago is a plus)
