They must be a self-starter with strong knowledge of in-store merchandising principles, print production and installation processes to deliver projects from concept to execution. They must also have a keen understanding of in-store Communication, visual storytelling and messaging tailored towards specific consumer personas of our brand.

This role will report to the Visual Merchandising Manager, International. This role will be focused on the EMEA & APAC regions and based in our Paris office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development International VM requests and align work back with Global Creative to ensure seamless execution across all VM touchpoints
  • Design development and alignment with Commercial teams and global VM teams to deliver permanent merchandising solutions and trade activation projects across multiple retailers (for e.g. Sephora, Douglas, Nocibe, etc.)
  • Partner closely with the Manager, International Visual Merchandising to validate timelines and retailer expectations to ensure all creative output is delivered on time and on budget
  • Own projects from design concept to execution with internal project management with commercial teams for design validation and timeline management
  • Creatively solve design challenges while following Global and brand guidelines
  • Translate and adapt existing designs to a wide range of retailer fixture formats in both 3D and 2D.
  • Organize and prepare files for final artwork release to vendors and follow up on execution in partnership with local markets and commercial teams

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS/BFA degree in Graphic Design or Industrial Design with Graphic Design working experience.
  • 5+ years' experience working in an in-store design role.
  • Software Requirements: Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Sketchup/3D rendering software
  • Proficient in planogramming and knowledge of 3D structures and spaces.
  • A deep knowledge of print design and print production.
  • Understanding of branding and graphic storytelling within the retail environment.
  • Understanding of vendor specifications and technical drawings.
  • The ideal candidate is a master graphic technician: concerned with resolutions, color and size accuracies, production values. Must know the difference between CMYK and RBG, spot color and process, a vector or a raster, etc.
  • Career track record that shows the candidate has a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and to meet deadlines using excellent organizational skills, quality execution and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely – ability to provide and receive constructive feedback that is necessary to improve designs.
  • Being able to manage feedback.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be highly collaborative with ability to understand the objectives of all cross-functional partners and work toward a design that meets that need and upholds the creative integrity of the brand.
  • Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (3 days per week in our Paris Office)
