Sol de Janeiro is looking for a sharp, fast-moving analyst who knows how to turn dashboards into direction. This role is all about making sense of data and turning it into clear, executive-level insights that guide product strategy, business reviews, and growth conversations.
You’ll partner with the global product marketing team and CMO on monthly reports, launch performance, and one-off business questions.
This role is NYC based with 3 required in office days.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data from Domo, Nielsen, Stackline, Spate, and others to concisely show performance and to extract insights that matter.
- Write clear, actionable monthly business reports and launch performance reports.
- Build tight, strategic decks for internal and external business updates.
- Monitor performance across categories and channels, flagging risks and opportunities before they hit dashboards.
- Translate dense data into concise, executive-ready slides that prioritize what the business needs to know.
- Collaborate with category, product, and finance teams to align insight with action.
- Work with the data team to maintain reporting tools and trackers to ensure timely and accurate business visibility.
- Go beyond standard reporting. Surface patterns, tensions, and drivers others miss by combining multiple data sources and asking better questions.
- Extract insight from dashboards in a way that reveals not just what happened, but why, and what we should do next.
- Help the business see around corners by connecting trends across performance, consumer behavior, and category shifts.
- Work closely with product and category teams to pressure-test plans and prioritize based on what's driving results.
- Proactively dig into trends and consumer behaviors to surface strategic growth opportunities.
- Support annual planning and strategic projects with fast, insight-driven analysis.
- Ensure consistency and clarity across all data storytelling, from one-pagers to full C-suite presentations.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years in a strategic, analytical role in beauty, CPG, or consumer brands
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable building clean, executive-ready decks and frameworks
- Experienced with tools like Domo, Nielsen, Stackline, Spate, and other dashboard/reporting platforms
- Exceptional synthesis skills, you can spot what matters and communicate it in plain English
- Comfortable balancing big-picture strategy with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Collaborative and communicative; takes initiative and checks in often
- Excellent written communication, this is a ghostwriting role for the CMO, and clarity is non-negotiable
- Curious, fast, and proactive, you don’t wait to be told what to analyze
- No SQL required; must be able to work cross-functionally with Finance, Category, and CMI teams
Salary Range
$130,000 - $140,000 USD
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
