What You’ll Do

Sol de Janeiro is seeking a strategic and analytical Amazon leader with a proven track record of scaling growth on Amazon 3P. This role will be responsible for the Sol de Janeiro Amazon US & UK P&Ls, driving annual sales and margin growth. This role's key functions will include strategic planning and forecasting, advertising, reporting and analytics, business operations and team management. The ideal candidate has a commercial mindset with the ability to develop a long-term vision for this channel and a passion for harnessing the expertise and skillsets of their team. The position will report to Head of Global E-commerce (SDJ.com and Amazon, Globally)

 

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Oversee all aspects of the Sol de Janeiro's Global Amazon business including: P&L, channel strategy, merchandising, content and product assortment for both the US and UK businesses
  • Define and achieve ambitious growth targets through effective marketing, assortment strategy, content optimization, new product launches, etc as well as exploration of opportunity for further global expansion of Amazon.
  • Clearly define Amazon's role and offering within the overall Sol de Janeiro omnichannel strategy to create and continually evolve a best-in-class differentiated offering within the Amazon marketplace and support total Sol de Janeiro growth.
  • Plan and execute compelling product launches on Amazon by effectively managing the go-to-market launch process and coordinating cross-functionally with other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage all Amazon related business operations including inventory planning, cost optimization, CX, listing management, account health, MAP enforcement and other relevant business operations, working with cross-functional teams
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with all relevant stakeholders including internal Sol de Janeiro functions, external agency partners and Amazon partners
  • Work closely with cross-departmental teams (including Operations, Supply Chain Finance, Data, PR, Creative Consumer Experience, among others) to ensure commercial success for this channel.
  • Oversee and execute full funnel media and marketing strategy for Amazon business. Owning relationships with our agency partners and overseeing all creative needs for this channel. Working closely with agencies and internal teams (OTC, Retail, Brand Marketing, Influencer leads).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Amazon's latest tools, features, and market trends to evaluate new
  • growth opportunities and ensure effective brand positioning, driving strategic decisions that support long-term business success
  • Foster a highly productive relationship with Amazon team at all levels and areas of the business. Deliver monthly business insights, reporting with action roadmap to senior management including Amazon's customer trends, data and other insights

Must Haves

  • 10+ years' experience in Amazon, including scaling and leading the P&L for a profitable 3P Amazon business with sales volume of $100MM+ annually
  • Experience working in an omnichannel company (OTC, Amazon/Marketplace, Retail)
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools; highly organized, detail-oriented and structured. Ability to structure, analyze and manipulate data to extract insights
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • International Amazon experience in Europe, Asia and other high-growth regions preferred, but not required.

Salary Range

$200,000 - $220,000 USD
