What You’ll Do

We're looking for an Assistant Manager, Global Communications to support the Global Communications team in running our global communications function day to day, helping keep our markets, agency partners and global headquarters connected, organized and moving.

You'll support communication with regional teams and agencies, and keep the calendars, trackers, databases, reporting and logistics behind every launch and event up to date. You'll also help maintain the toolkits and standards our markets rely on, so every region can bring Sol de Janeiro's story to life in a culturally relevant way.

This is a hands-on support role for someone highly organized, detail-oriented and eager to learn and grow in global communications, handling routine items independently and bringing everything else to the Senior Manager.

What You’ll Be Working On

Global Market Management Support

  • Support day-to-day communication with regional teams and agency partners, answering routine questions, sharing materials and passing strategic items to the Senior Manager.
  • Help share global priorities, calendars and launch updates with markets, and track open questions and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate regional calls, take notes and track action items.
  • Support the communications intake process by logging, routing and tracking launch plans and event requests, and flagging any gaps against global guardrails for the Senior Manager.
  • Help keep global functions informed of communications timelines so calendars stay aligned across departments.
  • Keep an eye on emerging trends, media and cultural moments, and share relevant opportunities with the team.

Global Infrastructure Support

  • Support the rollout of global ways of working and the onboarding of new markets and agency partners.
  • Help maintain the global press toolkit, keeping assets, versioning and market access organized, and gathering launch information from across global functions.
  • Track exclusives, embargo dates and market sequencing across regions.
  • Help draft press releases, pitches and launch materials for review.
  • Help maintain the global event toolkit and planning resources.
  • Keep crisis contact lists current, and help log issues and track follow-ups during a response.

Global Events & Experiences Support

  • Support the Senior Manager and agency partner on global events, launch moments and brand experiences, keeping trackers, timelines, meeting notes and event documents up to date and flagging risks or delays.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including guest lists, RSVPs, invitations, run-of-show documents and shipments.
  • Help coordinate with the agency partner on logistics, confirming deliverables and deadlines and flagging changes to the Senior Manager.
  • Help draft post-event recaps with attendance, coverage, key metrics and learnings, and pull together competitive examples of events and activations.

Corporate, CEO & Leadership Support

  • Maintain the global communications calendar, tracking priority launches, key market events and corporate news moments.
  • Help manage the CEO press calendar and incoming requests, and coordinate related travel and itineraries with the CEO's office.
  • Help pull together briefing documents for the CEO and senior leaders.

Reporting Support

  • Collect monthly reporting from regional teams using the global template, and check submissions for completeness.
  • Help prepare the monthly leadership report with highlights and key learnings.
  • Compile KPI and coverage data across markets, earned media, events and share of voice.
  • Keep the global awards tracker up to date.

Admin & Operations

  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets, including the contact list and interview requests.
  • Help track program spend, invoices and purchase orders against budget.
  • Help forecast product needs for launches, events and global programming with the demand planning team.
  • Coordinate product orders, samples and gifting shipments, including customs and international shipping, and maintain the international product closet.

Must Haves

  • 3+ years in communications, events or brand marketing, or in an executive assistant role with strong project management responsibility. Beauty experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail: you keep many timelines, trackers and requests moving at once without letting anything slip.
  • Strong writing and communication skills and sound judgment: you can handle routine communications with markets and agencies and know when to bring something to your manager.
  • A proactive, supportive team player who is reliable and eager to learn and grow in global communications.
  • Experience supporting events or brand activations, including logistics, shipping and vendor coordination.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $90,000 USD

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
