Director of Security Engineering
Job Summary
The Director of Security Engineering reports to the CISO, and provides strategic direction for cloud security engineering, identity management, incident response and security architecture capabilities. This role is responsible for strengthening our security posture through enhanced controls, automated monitoring, and rapid incident response.
Who You Are:
The Director drives security excellence through cloud-native solutions, automated security processes, and robust incident response capabilities. This leader will build and maintain critical security controls while ensuring continuous coverage for security operations. The role requires deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, identity management, and security engineering.
What you’ll do:
- Lead cloud security engineering initiatives across GCP and Azure platforms.
- Design enterprise identity management and access control solutions.
- Oversee security monitoring capabilities and threat intelligence.
- Drive automation and efficiency in security processes.
- Ensure continuous security coverage through on-call programs.
- Provide technical guidance on security architecture
- Implement cloud security controls and automation
- Support incident response and forensic investigations
- Conduct web application security assessments
- Monitor partner security risks through threat intelligence
- Maintain security metrics and compliance reporting
- Participate in on-call rotation for coverage
- Design and implement PAM/PIM solutions
- Support healthcare compliance requirements through security controls
What You'll Need:
- 10+ years of security engineering experience
- 7+ years of cloud security expertise (GCP/Azure)
- 5+ years of incident response experience
- Healthcare compliance knowledge (HIPAA/HITECH)
- Strong background in identity and access management
- Experience with security automation and monitoring
