As a Supervisor of Lab Operations at Sollis Health you will play an important role in our patient’s care by managing our moderately complex labs in your region that are CLIA certified. Our in-house lab function is critical to our success in providing our members/patients with timely and accurate results that help our providers determine a diagnosis and treat accordingly. This position reports to the region’s Manager of Operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee Sollis’ moderate complex lab operations in your region including but not limited to, new lab setup, vendor management, training and policies.
Manages new lab setup including; submitting initial CLIA applications, ordering new lab equipment and lab supplies, lab implementation, setting up new lab vendor accounts, etc.
Maintaining current CLIA Certifications. (Updating facility addresses, change in Lab Directors, add/remove lab testing, updating personnel, preparing for State Lab Survey Inspection)
Maintain personnel files for training in partnership with the staff’s manager and Technical Consultant
Complete Initial Training Checklists
Perform 6-month Competency Evaluation
Perform annual Competency Evaluations
Plans and implements an effective departmental orientation and provides in-service training to employees on proper use of equipment.
Partner with our Technical Lab Consultants to adhere to state and federal laws in all Sollis locations under CLIA
Monitor supplies inventory and place orders accordingly
Monitor performance and turnaround time for lab results creating new processes and procedures as needed to provide a high-quality patient experience.
Oversee processes for specimen handling and Lab Quality Assurance program such as, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as needed.
Run lab according to CLIA regulations and Sollis polices.
API Enrollment for new and current sites.
Completing precision/accuracy, verification, and correlation testing for required lab equipment
Maintain Quality Control according to manufacturer guidelines
Maintain Quality Assurance according to CLIA guidelines
Collect lab specimens for both Sollis’ clinic and at home services working a moderate complex lab operations
Process lab samples both in house according to manufacturer’s instructions and according to laboratory protocol
Partner with external vendors as needed to process lab samples
Run lab tests ordered by the medical team or established standing protocols including specimen collection, proper identification on specimen, label the specimen with all required information and handle the specimen according to Sollis Health guidelines as needed
Monitor performance and turnaround time for lab results and escalating delays as needed
Perform related duties, as needed

High School diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree or greater strongly preferred
3+ years of previous lab and quality work under a CLIA certified lab required
Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant Program strongly preferred
Outstanding customer service skills and a high level of professionalism required.
Comfortable interfacing with high profile clientele

Compensation

Range: $31 per hour

This is the range of pay for New York candidates only. Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of New York. Furthermore, actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc.

The arbitrator shall be one (1) single person that is a retired judge or licensed attorney with experience serving as a JAMS arbitrator, who is mutually agreed to by the parties, and who is subject to disqualification on the same grounds as would apply to a judge of a court of general jurisdiction in the district in which the arbitration is proceeding. The Company and I shall use the JAMS office in the city closest to the location of the Company site to which I applied or was hired, or such other mutually convenient location that the Company and I agree upon. Resolution of any Covered Dispute shall be based solely upon the law governing the claims and defenses pleaded, and the arbitrator may not invoke any basis (including but not limited to, notions of "just cause") other than such controlling law. The arbitrator shall have the immunity of a judicial officer from civil liability when acting in the capacity of an arbitrator, which immunity supplements any other existing immunity. Likewise, all communications during or in connection with the arbitration proceedings are privileged. As reasonably required to allow full use and benefit of this agreement, the arbitrator shall extend the times set for the giving of notices and setting of hearings. The arbitrator shall issue a written opinion setting forth the facts and law supporting any award. The Company shall pay the arbitrator’s fees and other costs relating to the arbitration forum, but I and the Company will be responsible for our own costs and for our attorneys’ fees should we choose to be represented by counsel, unless the arbitrator shifts one party’s costs and attorneys’ fees to the other party in accordance with applicable law. It is agreed that the Company shall not be responsible for paying the arbitrator’s fees and costs for the arbitration hearing sooner than 60 days before the commencement of the arbitration hearing. The arbitrator’s written decision shall be final, binding, and conclusive on the parties and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Should any term or provision, or portion thereof of this arbitration agreement be declared void or unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remainder of this agreement to arbitrate shall be enforceable. I understand and agree that no implied, oral, or written agreement contrary to the express language of this agreement to arbitrate is valid unless signed by both me and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

I acknowledge that this Agreement is not intended to interfere with my rights to collectively bargain, to engage in protected, concerted activity, or to exercise other rights protected under the National Labor Relations Act, and that I will not be subject to disciplinary action of any kind for opposing the arbitration provisions of this agreement.
