Founding Medical Director - Emergency Medicine - BRAND NEW LOCATION IN BELLEVUE - WINTER 2025
Sollis Health is expanding to Bellevue, Washington in Winter 2025!
As a Founding Medical Director of our brand new Bellevue location opening in Winter 2025 at Sollis Health you will bring your talent and ambition for emergency medicine and provide clinical care and administrative leadership in our 24/7 concierge medical center where we treat both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated either in an Urgent Care or a traditional emergency room.
You will be an advocate for Sollis members/patients, lead your team of Providers and act as an exemplary leader to champion our mission, vision and values. This role requires a strong blend of medical expertise, management skills, and the ability to promote an exciting new medical service to high-profile clientele and the medical community. This position reports to our Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the medical leader for your location(s) working 60% administrative and 40% clinical shifts.
- Manage a team of Providers (Physicians & ACPs) as well as Registered Nurses, ensuring they provide the highest standard of care along with a high-quality patient experience.
- Supervise and mentor any medical leaders reporting to you- Physican, Nursing and Advanced Practice.
- Perform or oversee medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine when working clinical shifts in our centers.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Virtual Care, to ensure efficient and high-quality virtual care: Telehealth, Triage, and Aftercare in your region.
- Partner with membership teams to drive revenue growth by acquiring new members and maintaining high retention rates.
- Coordinate training for Providers and clinical staff such as didactic rounds plus hands-on training such as IV skills, Phlebotomy, Splinting, Suturing, etc. to keep clinicians skilled with medical procedures required to perform their clinical duties.
- Ensure a robust clinical quality assurance program is in place.
- Help collect data for and meet clinical KPI goals set by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Serve on appropriate Leadership Committees, including the Medical Executive Committee, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, as well as attend Regional and National medical leadership meetings.
- Partner with the Medical Operations leadership team to ensure your Centers are running efficiently and effectively, and that you have a robust staffing model to ensure all shifts are covered and that our patients can access medical services 24/7.
- Lead by example through continued growth at Sollis, relaying any organizational updates and helping to implement clinical or non-clinical policy changes to your team.
- Fulfill the responsibilities as Lab Director for the CLIA on-site lab.
- Work to promote Sollis Health through regular outreach to PCPs and Specialists in the community, enhancing hospital relationships, and ensuring appropriate 3rd party lab and imaging resources are available for our members. Promotion may include speaking at specific conferences or media events.
- Collaborate with Member Services to assist with any service recovery needs for either members or medical partners.
- Ensure patient records are well kept and accurate in our EHR Athena Health, monitoring that team members are adhering to policy.
- Collaborate with Care Navigation to effectuate appropriate referrals and transition of care.
- Collaborate with the Radiology and Medical Operations teams to ensure that our patients have timely access to all imaging modalities, X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound (as available at your Center), as well as our full suite of lab tests, with rapid results availability.
- Collaborate with the People Team to conduct annual performance reviews, address employee relations concerns, interviewing and hiring quality Providers and championing corporate initiatives.
- Perform related duties as requested.
Experience
We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally we would expect that you have:
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
- Physician state license and ability to practice in the state of Washington
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency and emergency medicine board certified required. Secondary board certifications in internal medicine or pediatrics are not required but a strong plus.
- 5+ years of experience as a physician in the emergency department and/or urgent care center along with previous leadership experience, required.
- DEA license required.

Compensation
Range: $400,000-$455,000 annually + Bonus + Equity
This is the anticipated rate/range Sollis Health reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position in Washington State. Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of this location. Actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc
