Director, Brand, Content & Communications
Sixty million Medicare seniors live with chronic disease. The care system sees most of them twice a year. Cadence is building the infrastructure to support them every day.
Cadence is a clinical AI company that delivers continuous, proactive care for older adults with chronic conditions like hypertension, heart failure, and diabetes. We pair patients with a dedicated clinical team, integrate deeply into health system EMRs and workflows, and use our Clinical Intelligence platform to monitor vitals, surface risk early, optimize medications, and close care gaps between visits. The result: patients engage with care 100x more than before Cadence, clinicians focus on judgment instead of administrative work, and Medicare saves $2M a week.
We operate as a full clinical care delivery organization, not a software vendor. Our clinicians work alongside health system partners, extending the reach of local primary care providers into patients' homes. We're now applying AI agents across these workflows – from alert review and medication titration to lifestyle coaching and care coordination – with clinicians always in control of clinical decisions.
We’re hiring a Director, Brand, Content & Communications to help shape how Cadence is understood, trusted, and talked about across the healthcare industry.
This role will serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Communications, helping define and amplify Cadence’s market narrative across health systems, partners, media, employees, and the broader healthcare ecosystem. You’ll work across storytelling, positioning, thought leadership, executive communications, brand strategy, and content direction, translating complex clinical outcomes, AI capabilities, operational insights, and market dynamics into compelling narratives that build trust and market authority.
This is a highly cross-functional, market-shaping role at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and communications. You’ll partner closely with Marketing, Design, Partnerships, Product, Clinical, and Leadership teams to elevate Cadence’s reputation and help define the future of AI-powered chronic care.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the Head of Communications to shape and scale Cadence's external narrative, positioning, and brand presence across the healthcare market.
- Build strong relationships with health system partners, clinical leaders, and internal stakeholders to uncover compelling stories, outcomes, and insights that reinforce Cadence's differentiation.
- Translate clinical outcomes, operational data, partner success, and industry trends into high-impact narratives, reports, thought leadership, and market-facing storytelling initiatives.
- Develop strategic communications materials including executive messaging, presentations, reports, partner stories, award submissions, speaking narratives, and long-form thought leadership content.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Design, Product, Clinical, and Leadership teams to ensure campaigns, messaging, and storytelling consistently reinforce Cadence's positioning and voice.
- Support executive thought leadership and market visibility efforts through messaging development, speaking opportunities, media strategy, and strategic communications planning; contribute to employer brand and internal communications initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, alignment, and pride in the Cadence mission.
- Help shape and guide Cadence's content strategy, ensuring external content reflects the broader market narrative and supports key brand and business priorities.
What You Need
- 7-12+ years of experience across communications, brand, corporate storytelling, strategic marketing, or related functions, ideally within healthcare, insurance, technology, or other complex regulated industries.
- Exceptional instincts for positioning, messaging, and thought leadership, with experience building market authority and differentiated narratives for growing organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, customer insights, market dynamics, and executive perspectives into compelling stories and strategic communications.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with executives, clinical leaders, marketers, product teams, and external partners.
- Experience building communications systems, content programs, and narrative frameworks that scale alongside a rapidly growing organization.
- Fluency with AI research and productivity tools and the ability to evaluate AI-driven insights critically, distinguishing signal from noise in a fast-moving information environment.
