
Senior Staff IT Security Engineer

Sonatus is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with international locations in Ireland, France, Germany, Poland, Korea, China, India, Taiwan and Japan. This is a hybrid position at our Dublin location. You will report to the IT Manager.
The Opportunity

As an IT Security Engineer, you'll be instrumental in securing our critical infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security solutions. This role offers an excellent chance to hone your skills in identity and access management, master advanced security controls, and take on the complex challenge of identifying and mitigating security gaps before they become issues. You'll have ample opportunities to grow your technical expertise while working alongside our engineering teams to embed security directly into their processes, ensuring a truly secure ecosystem.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain security solutions across multiple platforms (on-premises, cloud-based, hybrid)
- Develop and maintain identity and access management solutions, ensuring accurate and secure authentication and authorization for users and devices
- Configure and manage security controls on hardware and software systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control systems
- Conduct vulnerability management activities, including scanning, assessment, and remediation of identified vulnerabilities
- Create and test new security features, and configure hardware and software systems
- Identify and address security gaps, and build safeguards to prevent future threats
- Work with Engineering to build security practices in their tools and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), CISSP, or other relevant security certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security-related role, preferably in an Engineering or IT environment.
- Experience with identity management solutions such as LDAP, AWS IAM, SSO
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as bash and python, automation tools such as Ansible, and programming languages such as C
