Talent Acquisition Manager
At Sonatus, we’re driving the transformation to AI-enabled software-defined vehicles. Traditional automotive software methods can’t keep pace with consumer expectations shaped by the mobile industry—where features evolve rapidly, update seamlessly, and improve continuously. That’s why leading OEMs trust Sonatus to accelerate this shift. Our technology is already in production across more than 6 million vehicles on the road today and rapidly expanding.
Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, with 250+ employees worldwide, Sonatus combines the agility of a fast-growing company with the scale and impact of an established partner. Backed by strong funding and proven by global deployment, we’re solving some of the most interesting and complex challenges in the industry. Join us and help redefine what’s possible as we shape the future of mobility.
Our Talent Acquisition has evolved significantly over the last two years. We’ve built a strong recruiting foundation, developed scalable processes, expanded our internal capability, and grown a global TA team across the US and Ireland.
Now we’re entering the next phase.
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to help transform recruiting into a true hiring engine — one that can support rapid global scaling while continuously improving quality, speed, efficiency, and candidate experience.
Headcount growth continues at roughly 30% year-over-year, with a significant focus on AI talent globally. This role is critical in helping the company scale intelligently and competitively in one of the fastest-moving talent markets.
This is not a traditional recruiting management role focused only on delivery. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, operate hands-on, and leverage AI and automation to modernize how recruiting works. You will lead and develop a growing global TA team, partner closely with leadership across the company, and help redefine how we attract and hire top talent at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Sonatus’s global Talent Acquisition team across the US and Ireland.
- Drive recruiting strategy and execution to support continued global growth across Engineering, AI, Product, Sales, and Operations.
- Manage a high-performance recruiting function focused on quality, speed, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Leverage AI, automation, analytics, and evolving recruiting tools to improve recruiter efficiency, sourcing effectiveness, and candidate engagement.
- Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers to align hiring plans with company priorities and organizational growth.
- Continue strengthening recruiting processes, interviewer enablement, and hiring discipline across the company.
- Own and analyze recruiting metrics to identify trends, improve forecasting, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Ensure a strong and consistent candidate experience across all stages of the hiring process.
- Support and influence employer branding and talent market positioning globally, particularly within competitive AI talent markets.
- Step into hands-on recruiting for critical or senior-level roles when needed.
- Continue optimizing external agency usage, ensuring partnerships are strategic, high quality, and cost-effective.
Requirements
- 7+ years of recruiting experience, including at least 3+ years leading and developing an in-house Talent Acquisition team.
- Proven success building and scaling recruiting functions, processes, and operational frameworks in fast-growing technology companies.
- Strong experience hiring technical talent, particularly within Engineering and AI-related functions, with a deep understanding of highly competitive global talent markets.
- Experience leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and next-gen recruiting tools to improve recruiting effectiveness and scalability.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience coaching and developing high-performing recruiting teams.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong operational mindset with the ability to build structure, improve processes, and drive execution.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-growth, high-ambiguity environments with changing priorities and evolving business needs.
- Result-oriented and proactive approach — someone who takes ownership, moves quickly, makes sound decisions with imperfect information, and drives change.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across executives, hiring managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of delivering against ambitious hiring goals while maintaining a high bar for talent and candidate experience.
- Experience working globally with PEOs, contractors, and consultants.
