Overview

SonicWall is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own go-to-market strategy and execution for our Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Threat Protection product lines, along with other assigned product lines across the SonicWall portfolio. This individual contributor role also drives the success of SonicWall's Technology Alliance Partner Program, ensuring partner value propositions and joint go-to-market plans translate into measurable pipeline and revenue impact. The role also maintains working knowledge of SonicWall SonicSentry, our Managed Security Services (MSS) business, to support consistent messaging and cross-functional alignment where the two offerings intersect.

You will develop positioning and messaging, lead product launches, build the sales and channel enablement tools that win deals, and serve as the subject-matter expert who translates complex security technology into clear, compelling, customer-facing value. This role requires deep hands-on execution rather than team management — you will drive results directly, in close partnership with product management, engineering, sales, and channel teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Positioning

  • Own go-to-market strategy for EDR/Threat Protection and other assigned product lines, including value propositions and positioning tailored to target markets, buyer personas, and vertical/compliance requirements.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive research and maintain subject-matter-expert-level understanding of competitors' strengths, weaknesses, and market moves across EDR/XDR, endpoint security, and other owned product lines.
  • Partner with product management and engineering to translate technical capabilities into differentiated customer-facing messaging and business value propositions.
  • Maintain working knowledge of SonicWall SonicSentry (MSS) sufficient to support cross-sell messaging, answer sales/partner questions, and keep positioning consistent across the endpoint and MSS portfolio

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Plan and lead product launches end to end for endpoint and other owned product lines — coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across product, engineering, sales, and support to execute the launch cycle and drive adoption.
  • Build sales enablement assets, including pitch decks, battlecards, objection handlers, competitive comparisons, and training materials for direct and channel sales teams.
  • Produce thought-leadership and demand-generation content — blogs, whitepapers, eBooks, videos, and web content — that positions SonicWall as a leader in endpoint security and the other product lines you own.

Technology Alliance Partner Program

  • Own the marketing strategy and success metrics for the Technology Alliance Partner Program, ensuring partner value propositions, co-marketing assets, and joint go-to-market plans drive measurable partner and pipeline growth.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with alliance partners to support joint go-to-market execution and co-selling motions.

Customer, Market & Partner Insight

  • Develop deep customer and partner knowledge through market research, segmentation and persona development, customer interviews, and internal business metrics.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, industry compliance requirements, and emerging threats relevant to endpoint security and your other owned product lines, and recommend appropriate marketing activity.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track success metrics for launches, campaigns, and the partner program; report on performance against targets.
  • Continuously test, measure, and refine messaging, campaigns, and enablement materials based on results and field feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of product marketing experience, with meaningful time at a B2B security or technical software company; experience with EDR/endpoint security, threat protection, or network security strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership of go-to-market strategy and execution for at least one product line or service offering, from launch through lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of the security market, including EDR/XDR, endpoint threat protection, and firewalls, plus emerging categories such as Zero Trust and SASE; working familiarity with managed security services (MSS) a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to independently build sales enablement content — pitch decks, battlecards, training — that drives measurable sales results.
  • Strong analytical and business skills; comfortable using data to prioritize initiatives and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Willingness to travel to visit customers, prospects, and partners as an essential part of the role.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience building or running technology alliance or channel partner marketing programs.
  • Prior professional experience in product management or another strategic technical role.
  • MBA or other advanced business degree.
  • Strong grasp of current market trends and emerging technologies in cybersecurity.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus.
  • 6-8+ years of relevant product marketing experience. This is an individual contributor role

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
