This position is based on-site in the Greater Seattle Area.
We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support the administration of our employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, leave of absence policies, workers’ compensation, and other employee perks. This role serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has great multitasking skills and is comfortable handling confidential data with integrity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, leave policies, and other offerings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
- Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues, ensure effective use of plans and options, and manage enrollments, renewals, and claims
- Support the open enrollment processes and employee communications efforts related to benefits
- Support employee education on benefits plans and options during open enrollment and one-on- one support
- Partner with Accounting team on reconciliation and payment of benefits vendor invoices
- Other duties as assigned
HR Systems and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records in HRIS and vendor systems
- Support audits, compliance filings (e.g., ACA, 5500), and internal policy updates
- Partner with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits deductions and reporting
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA)
- Monitor trends and make recommendations for program
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA)
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and analytical
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Benefits, or HR administration
- Experience with HRIS (e.g., UKG, ADP)
- Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-location organization
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work onsite at the Corporate Office in Bellevue, WA a minimum of 3 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday onsite with the remote flexibility for Wednesday, and Friday.
COMPENSATION:
This is a Non-exempt position with an hourly range of $25.00 - $31.25/hour, depending on experience.

Compensation Range
$25 - $31.25 USD
Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future. Full-time employees may also receive benefits such as incentives, equity, health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
