As the Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting our Software Development Environment that plays a critical role in Connecting Marketing, lead generation and key integrations ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and highly available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

What will you do

You will own the delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives by defining technical plans and milestones, managing risk, and driving work to measurable outcomes. You will design and build eventing that captures key patient journey moments, enables downstream data ingestion, and supports segmentation, analytics, and reporting.

You will implement and maintain integrations across internal systems and external marketing and messaging platforms, ensuring correctness, resiliency, observability, and data quality. Your work will contribute to a scalable and extensible architecture that supports multiple service lines, differentiated consult and booking flows, and consistent confirmation and reminder experiences.

You will champion secure-by-design practices, including privacy, consent handling, and data governance across services and pipelines. You will facilitate design reviews, document tradeoffs, and drive alignment across engineering, product, data science, marketing, and operations partners. You will raise the bar on quality through strong test strategies, performance and resiliency improvements, and maintainable architecture patterns, while mentoring and coaching engineers through pairing, reviews, and structured feedback.

 

What You Will Build

You will build a reliable stream of patient journey events that power analytics, attribution, and activation use cases. You will establish CDP integration patterns that support ingestion, identity resolution, and downstream segmentation. You will enable segmentation-driven outbound messaging, starting with email and SMS and expanding to additional channels over time.

You will deliver multi-service-line experiences that support consult scheduling, direct booking for specific offerings, and consistent confirmation and reminder flows. You will also build dashboards and operational reporting that connect marketing performance to consult and scheduling outcomes.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead other engineers and help them grow in design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects across teams, define technical direction within a domain, and deliver predictably.
  • Strong system design skills, API and data modeling skills, and comfort debugging across service and data boundaries.
  • Experience building event driven systems, distributed services, or data pipelines that require reliability and clear observability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to facilitate cross functional design discussions, and influence without authority.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with TypeScript and React, Blazor, or a similar modern frontend stack
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, and event streaming platforms.

 

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • C# and .NET, currently .NET 8, with planned adoption of .NET 10 LTS.
  • Architecture patterns, Clean Architecture and Onion Architecture, selection depends on the solution, with strong separation of concerns and automated testability.
  • Azure native development, primarily Azure Container Apps, using .NET Aspire for service composition and local development, Aspire experience is a strong plus.
  • Messaging and asynchronous processing with Azure Service Bus.
  • Data persistence with Azure SQL and Azure Table Storage, using Entity Framework Core, strong relational data modeling skills.
  • Strong query skills, TSQL required, PostgreSQL familiarity is preferred.
  • Delivery and observability, Azure DevOps pipelines, automated testing, Application Insights for logs, metrics, and traces, Open Telemetry compatible instrumentation.
  • Experience supporting multi-product or marketing automation
  • Strong Computer Science or a related field background, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with TypeScript and React, Blazor, or a similar modern frontend stack
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, and event streaming platforms is a plus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work onsite at the Corporate Office in Bellevue, WA for a minimum of 3 days a week. May work in remote office locations on Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

COMPENSATION:

At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $162,000 depending on experience.

Compensation Range

$130,000 - $162,000 USD

Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future. Full-time employees may also receive benefits such as incentives, equity, health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
