This position is based on-site in the Greater Seattle Area.

SUMMARY: This role is a key asset in the future growth of the company. The Senior FP&A Manager will lead the FP&A function and is integral to the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual operating plan (AOP), variance analysis and special projects. In this senior capacity, this role serves as the analytical engine and a strategic finance leader, providing forward-looking insights and driving ‘optimal’ business decision making. This role serves as a strategic thought partner to the Executive team, leading high-impact monthly activities, cross-functional initiatives, and special projects. The position reports to the Sr. Director of FP&A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Executive team, providing quantitative decision-making support on monthly activities, cross-functional initiatives, and special projects.
  • Partner with operations teams across the business on FP&A activities including forecasting, variance analysis, business case development, and ad-hoc decision support.
  • Assist with development of company’s annual operating plan and reforecasts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and the levers that drive performance.
  • Analyze trends in key performance indicators across revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures; conduct monthly variance analysis of actual results against plan and forecast, providing the CFO and CEO with timely, insightful commentary on operating performance.
  • Prepare the monthly reporting package (MD&A and CEO reporting) and presentations for the Executive team, investors, and lenders.
  • Develop robust financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and provide accurate, timely recommendations to management.
  • Build and improve upon reporting of financial statements, internal analytics, and management presentations.
  • Evaluate and improve FP&A processes to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Partner with Accounting and other internal business units to ensure forward-planning models align with GAAP financial reporting.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA highly preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, or 5+ years as a Manager of FP&A with demonstrated progression into senior leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven senior leadership skills, including experience managing and developing FP&A team members; experience in multi-unit, multi-state, high-growth, closely held companies preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statements; internal audit or controls and compliance experience is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required; experience data mining across multiple platforms.
  • Power BI development experience: designing, building, and maintaining custom dashboards and reports from scratch.
  • Adaptive Planning experience: building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and planning models within Workday Adaptive Planning (or comparable EPM platform).
  • Systems-inclined, with a curiosity for leveraging technology to work more efficiently.
  • Highly organized with the highest standards of accuracy and precision; strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement solutions.
  • Track record of building scalable FP&A processes and infrastructure in a high-growth environment
  • Articulate communicator (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to influence executives and business decision makers.
  • Creative, critical thinker who is self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines and last-minute requests of significance.

COMPENSATION:

At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $185,000 + Bonus.

Compensation Range

$140,000 - $185,000 USD

Additional Bonus

$14,000 - $18,500 USD

Pay may vary by location, and actual compensation depends on factors like qualifications, experience, skills, and business needs. Sono Bello may adjust this range in the future. Full-time employees may also receive benefits such as incentives, equity, health coverage, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
