A career at Sono Bello means being part of a dynamic and high-energy work environment where every team member can make a difference. We love what we do, and it shows! We believe everyone deserves to have their best body today and pursue their best life now.

This position is open is fully remote in the Chicago, IL area or Greater Seattle area with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid work model.

ABOUT SONO BELLO

Sono Bello is the nation’s largest and fastest-growing provider of cosmetic surgery and a recognized category disruptor in aesthetic surgery. With a national network of 130+ centers, the company has built a scaled operating platform that delivers consistent outcomes while enabling growth and innovation in a historically fragmented market.

We operate at the intersection of beauty, confidence, and healthcare. It is a category that is deeply personal and unlike almost any other. The patients we serve are making meaningful decisions about their bodies and their lives, and how we communicate with them matters.

People here are passionate in a way that is hard to manufacture. Our team members care deeply about patients and about each other, and that shows up in the quality of the work and the strength of the teams. We test, measure, and adjust. Growth mindset is not a poster on the wall here. It is how we make decisions and how we develop our people.

We hold ourselves to high standards and celebrate the wins along the way. Courage is expected. If you see something that is not working, you will need to speak up. If you have a better idea, you bring it. People who do their best work where bold thinking is welcomed, and results are what count will feel at home here.

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • The Director, Brand & Advertising Strategy owns the strategy and briefs behind how Sono Bello communicates with patients and prospective patients across channels.
  • As Sono Bello evolves from a single-service business into a multi-product portfolio, this role will build the positioning, messaging architecture, and campaign platforms needed to support growth.
  • This is a strategic advertising leadership role for someone who can translate business priorities, consumer insights, and brand positioning into clear strategies and briefs that lead to effective creative work.
  • Your role is not to personally design or write the work. You must be able to recognize strong strategy and creative, provide clear and actionable direction, and bring together the right internal and external resources to produce work that is distinctive, persuasive, and effective.
  • You will partner closely with media, performance marketing, digital, and service-line teams to ensure communications are differentiated, integrated across channels, and connected to business outcomes. Brand building and performance marketing are not separate conversations here. You must think across both.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Advertising strategy & campaign management

  • Develop integrated advertising strategies that support both brand building and demand generation. Translate business goals, consumer insights, and brand positioning into clear messaging frameworks, including the desired consumer belief, value proposition, and reasons to believe.
  • Own the brief from insight through final creative. Lead campaign development and execution across TV, video, digital, social, and direct response, ensuring the work is strategically sound, distinctive, and effective. Bring a clear point of view to creative reviews and maintain a high bar.

Agency leadership

  • Lead external agency partners and hold them accountable to the strategy, brief, budget, and timeline. Manage work ranging from high-profile TV productions with significant budgets and complexity to fast-turn social and content needs.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback that strengthens the work. Know whether the issue is the strategy, the idea, or the execution, and direct teams accordingly.

Internal team management

  • Lead and develop a small internal team managing production, influencer partnerships, and ongoing content needs. Set the standards, prioritize the work, and build a team culture rooted in craft, accountability, and continuous improvement. Invest in your people and help them grow.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with service line, media and analytics teams to understand what is working and why. Use performance data and consumer insight to sharpen creative strategy over time. You believe in evidence as much as instinct, and you use both to make better work.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in brand advertising, account management, account planning, brand strategy, integrated marketing, or consumer brand management
  • Background in senior agency account leadership or planning, or in brand management at a CPG or scaled consumer company, strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success leading major advertising campaigns for a scaled consumer-facing brand
  • Significant TV and video advertising experience, including strategy, creative development, production, large budgets, agency partners, and complex stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of consumer insight, positioning, value propositions, messaging architecture, creative briefs, consumer beliefs, and reasons to believe
  • Experience managing both brand-building and direct response advertising
  • Ability to lead a mixed portfolio of external agencies and internal resources across creative, social, content, and production
  • Broad experience across TV, video, digital, social, and direct response channels
  • Consumer brand, direct-to-consumer, healthcare, or beauty experience strongly preferred; Fortune 500 or scaled national brand experience is a plus

LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES

  • You have strong strategic instincts and the judgment to know whether creative work is solving the right problem. You are genuinely curious about consumers, category dynamics, and what makes ideas resonate.
  • You simplify complexity, write briefs that set teams up to produce great work, and communicate your point of view clearly and constructively. You lead with authenticity, invest in the people around you, and build teams that hold a high bar.
  • You do not wait for perfect data to form an opinion, and you do not approve work that is merely good enough, even under deadline pressure.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • Sono Bello has built one of the most recognized brands in medical aesthetics on the strength of its outcomes, its people, and its ability to connect with patients at a deeply personal level. This role is the opportunity to build the communications strategy and creative foundation that takes the brand to the next level.
  • For a marketing leader who wants real creative authority, a meaningful challenge, and the resources of a scaled national company behind them, this is a rare opportunity to leave a mark.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
